Disappointing news, y’all.  Chase has removed the option to earn 5,000 bonus Chase Ultimate Rewards points for adding an authorized user to the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

Now, the current public welcome bonus is 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (worth $625 in travel) after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months of account opening.  But that’s still a fantastic deal!

Best Chase Credit Card
The Chase Sapphire Preferred Sign-Up Bonus Can Get You at Least $625 Worth of Travel!  You Can Use Points on This Card for a Vacation to the Beautiful California Coast!

And the Chase Sapphire Preferred is still the #1 card we recommend for beginners

I have a personal obsession with Chase Ultimate Rewards points and have used them to travel to spots all over the world, including France, Italy, Spain, Panama, Mexico, and more!

You can read our full review of the Chase Sapphire Preferred card here.

Happy travels!

Is Chase still charging $75 for authorized users? Or is only for Reserve?

Glad I got my CSP last week, with the 5,000 point bonus!
