Earlier this week Chase announced a partnership with DoorDash that provides perks to select cardholders and that was followed up with a significant revamp of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® card. Those changes included not only DoorDash perks, but also Lyft benefits and an increase to the annual fee (as of Jan. 12th 2020).
Now Lyft has announced an increased earning rate for Lyft rides paid for with a whole slew of different Chase credit cards.
Chase Lyft partnership
We’ve already covered the 10x Ultimate Rewards points on Lyft rides the Sapphire Reserve is getting, here there are rates coming to other Chase cards on Jan. 12th 2020 until March 2022.
These cards will earn 5x Chase points on Lyft rides:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred Card
- Ink Business Preferred Credit Card
- Ink Plus Business card (no longer available to new applicants)
- Chase Sapphire (no longer available to new applicants)
The following cash-back credit cards will earn 5% back on Lyft rides:
- Chase Freedom®
- Chase Freedom Unlimited
- Ink Business Cash Credit Card
- Ink Business Unlimited Credit Card
- Chase Freedom Student
Information for the Chase Freedom Student card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets and has not been reviewed by the card issuer.
Don’t forget that you can transfer the points you earn with the cash-back Chase cards to travel partners if you pool your Chase points onto a card that enables transfers, like the Ink Business Preferred, Sapphire Reserve or Sapphire Preferred. Also, the Sapphire Reserve comes with up to two years of complimentary Lyft Pink membership, which includes perks like a 15% discount on Lyft rides.
