I’m not a smoker or toker (more of a midnight joker), but with Canada about to end marijuana prohibition for adults at the national level, I’ve got to think that many Americans will make new travel plans.
In fact, there are already Cannabis (Canna-bus?) Tours for international tourists!
I’m imagining they’ll have Cannabis Cruises too with ridiculous names like the “Bong Voyage.”
Dear Canada, wasn’t it enough that you already have the prettier side of Niagara Falls? Now you also have the smokier side.
Legal recreational sales are expected to begin within 8 to 12 weeks, in September 2018.
According to Marijuana Policy Project, Canada will be just the second country (after Uruguay) to enact lawful marijuana inhalation for grown-ups nationally.
In Canada, adults will be allowed to possess up to 30 grams of the sticky icky. Pot products will be sold in plain packaging with clearly marked labels. It’s unconfirmed whether those labels will also have a coupon for Tim Hortons.
So, will the US also puff, puff, pass legislation? And if so, will the Chase Freedom card ever have a 5X cannabis category?
Whether or not you plan to partake in pot brownies, folks on the Million Mile Secrets team strongly recommend using miles and points to visit Canada, especially Banff National Park.
I also recommend Montreal in the summer. The Montreal Botanical Garden ranks with the most beautiful in the world. I also enjoyed Just for Laughs (a huge comedy festival drawing big names) and the International Jazz Festival.
Do you think more Americans will travel to Canada once this law is in effect?
