Here is a look at some current shopping portal bonus offers.

Airline Bonuses

With back-to-school shopping coming up, many airline shopping portals are offering bonuses after meeting certain spending requirements.  These bonus points are in addition to miles you’ll earn per dollar of spending.

I wrote about the potential to earn up to 2,000 United Airlines miles when you spend $1,000+ on eligible purchases by August 12, 2016.

Southwest is offering bonuses for purchases made by August 15, 2016:

  • 250 Southwest points when you spend $150
  • 750 Southwest points when you spend $500
  • 2,500 Southwest points when you spend $1,500

Remember, base Southwest Points from the shopping portal DO count towards earning the Companion Pass!

And Alaska Airlines has a bonus offer for purchases made by August 14, 2016:

  • 400 Alaska Airlines miles when you spend $200
  • 1,500 Alaska Airlines miles when you spend $750

Other airline portals may have similar back-to-school bonus offers coming up including:

Cash Back Deals

Via Fat Wallet, folks can earn $10 off a $30 purchase at Kohl’s by clicking through the Discover Deals shopping portal.

There’s also a promotion on Discover Deals to earn 5% cash back on online purchases at Apple.  This means big savings if you’re purchasing a new computer or device.

Remember, if you pay with the Discover It® Cash Back, Discover will match all the cash back you’ve earned at the end of your first year, for new card members only.  So new cardholders could get 10% cash back on your Apple purchase!

Fat Wallet also found a targeted Amazon offer to earn $5 when you reload your Amazon gift card with $100+.  Just log into your Amazon account to see if you’re eligible!

Let me know if you find other good shopping portal deals!

I just double-dipped and it worked! I made a purchase through Southwest’S Rapid Rewards portal at evrewards, to earn 5 miles/dollar. I paid for it with my Alaska Airlines credit card and got miles there too! Whoa….
