There’s a much better offer available for The Business Gold Rewards Card From American Express OPEN, but it appears to be targeted.
You can earn 75,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after you spend $5,000 in purchases in the 1st 3 months of opening your account (expired). But you have to apply by June 30, 2015.
And folks on FlyerTalk report another 75,000 point offer (expired), but with a $10,000 minimum spending requirement in the same time frame.
Normally, the sign-up bonus on this card is 25,000 points, so this is triple the usual bonus! Emily and I don’t receive a commission for this offer, but we’ll always tell you about the best deals!

Until June 30, 2015, you’ll earn 75,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after you spend $5,000 in purchases in the 1st 3 months of opening your account.
That’s enough for a round-trip coach ticket to Europe when you transfer the points to a partner airline such as Delta or Air Canada.
Targeted offers come up occasionally for American Express cards. When you log-in to apply, if you get an an error message saying that AMEX’s systems are down, it means you’re NOT eligible for the offer.
You can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to the following airline and hotel partners:

I like this card because you get 3 points per $1 you spend on ONE of the following categories (you choose!):
- Flights purchased directly from airlines
- US advertising in select media
- Shipping purchased in the US
- US gas stations
- Buying directly from US locations of certain computer hardware, software, and cloud computing stores
You’ll earn 2 points per $1 you spend on the remaining 4 categories you don’t choose. You’ll get the extra points on a maximum of $100,000 in spending per year, per category.
According to Doctor of Credit on FlyerTalk, you can also call to apply and quote offer code “A4VR” and promotional offer identification number “AWBN:0002” to try to get the 75,000 point deal.
If applying online or by phone doesn’t work for you, try this 75,000 point offer (with a higher minimum spending requirement). But you may have to try different browsers or re-load the page several times to get the offer to come up. It worked for me!
This is an AMEX business card, so folks who’ve gotten the sign-up bonus in the past could get the bonus again! That is, as long as it’s been more than 12 months since you cancelled it.
American Express doesn’t restrict bonuses on business cards like they do with personal cards.
Bottom Line
The Business Gold Rewards Card From American Express OPEN has an increased sign-up bonus of 75,000 points after meeting minimum spending requirements (expired). But you have to apply by June 30, 2015, and not everyone is eligible.
If you’re not targeted for this deal, there’s another offer for 75,000 points (expired), but the minimum spending requirement is higher.
This is a very good deal! You can transfer 75,000 American Express Membership Rewards points to airline or hotel partners and get lots of Big Travel with Small Money!
Emily and I don’t earn a commission from this offer, but we’ll always tell you about the best deals!
