Paris Fashion Week starts tomorrow September 25th.  I’ll admit that I am somewhat of a fashion fan, and I occasionally binge watch Project Runway (season 16 is my all-time favorite)!  But I don’t spend a lot of money on clothes, and prefer to find many of them second hand.  But I DO splurge on shoes!  I only have a few pairs I regularly wear and take them traveling wherever I go.  They are my favorite shoes because they are cute AND comfortable.

What Are Your Favorite Traveling Shoes?

1.   Aetrex Sheila Sandal

I LOVE these shoes and wear them everywhere.  They have fantastic arch support, so I know that my feet will be happy for hours.  I have bought them 2 years in a row now.  They can be dressed up with a summery dress or dressed down with a t-shirt and jeans.

2.   Dansko Shirley Boots

Every woman wants to have a pair of sexy boots for fall/winter that are still comfortable, and Dansko is an excellent brand.  I have these boots and they are my go-to for cold weather because they look great no matter what you’re wearing.  Plus, I know I can walk around airports after a day of traveling and still be comfortable.

3.   Vionic Tide II Toe Post Sandal

These sandals are perfect for wearing around the house or to bring with you to the hotel room.  I love them because they are lightweight, are easy to pack, and they are water resistant.  Plus, they make perfect sandals to wear to the pool.

4.   Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66

I’ve worn Tigers since high school, and I love the comfort and style of these shoes.  They are super comfortable and go with everything.  They don’t have the best arch support, but you can always put in insoles if that’s important to you!

I have a question vaguely related to this.
I see you normally carry a purse while traveling, same as I carry in my everyday life. However, I am very paranoid about pickpockets and whatnot when I’m out and about. Could you do a post about how you address while still looking reasonably stylish?

Yeah, sure! I usually bring a crossbody purse when I’m traveling internationally, but wear a regular purse on domestic trips. I don’t have a specific brand I recommend. I’m super picky about purses and seem to find ones I like in random places, like the small shops of Montemarte in Paris or in Bombay, India. I’ve traveled a lot and have never been pickpocketed. I think it’s more about staying aware and using common sense by not walking alone in unsafe places at night, etc. Hope that helps and good luck! 🙂

Propet Travelwalker II. So comfortable. They don’t have good arch support, but there is plenty of room for an insert. I wore them day in and day out on 2 separate trips to Europe. Those and my Chaco sandals are just about all I need.

Thanks for sharing! Chacos were perfect on my recent visit to Costa Rica, too!
