Looking to travel to Australia or New Zealand? Check out these sales!
Air New Zealand is running a 72-hour sale on flights from the US to Australia and New Zealand, with tickets costing as little as $796 round-trip in coach. And American Airlines, Qantas and Virgin Australia are have responded by offering coach tickets between Los Angeles and Sydney from just $763 round-trip!
Tickets like these usually cost ~$1,300+, so this is a really good deal to take advantage of if you can find dates that fit your travel plans!
Or if you’d like to fly down under for even less – using miles & points – check out our guide to using transferable points for flights to Australia!
The Air New Zealand sale is valid from US cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, and Honolulu. And after a quick search, I’m seeing discounted fares on many of these routes all the way through July 2019.
Here are our posts on how to use Google Flights to find sale dates. Then you can book directly on the airlines’ website, or through a site like Orbitz.
If you decide to book a ticket, be sure to use a card that earns bonus rewards for travel! My go-to cards are the Chase Sapphire Reserve and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
With the Sapphire Reserve, I earn 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points on airfare. And with the AMEX Business Platinum card, I earn 5X AMEX Membership Rewards points on airfare booked through American Express Travel!
Can’t take advantage of this particular sale? Be sure to check out how my team member Keith used miles & points to save over $66,000 on a trip to Australia and New Zealand!
