One advantage of having credit cards like The Platinum Card® from American Express is airport lounge benefits.  American Express Platinum cards offer admission to the widest range of lounges through their Global Lounge Collection.  Escape Lounges also teamed up with American Express, and American Express Platinum credit cardholders can get free access to lots of lounges, including the super posh Centurion Lounges.  I’ve been to a few Centurion Lounges, and they really are some of the nicest lounges you can visit in the US.

To get free lounge access, consider these fantastic American Express credit cards:

The welcome bonuses are excellent for both credit cards.  If you already have one of these, you can apply for the other.

American Express Platinum Credit Card – Escape Lounge Benefits

American Express Platinum credit cardholders receive free access to Escape Lounges and can bring up to two guests.  These are pretty nice lounges and have been described as a mix between Centurion Lounges and domestic airline lounges.

To enter the US Escape Lounges, just show your American Express Platinum Card, a same-day boarding pass and valid government issued ID at the lounge check-in counter.

The Sacramento International Airport will be getting 2 new Escape Lounges, which is great news if you fly through Sacramento on a regular basis.  Each of their airport’s terminals will have an Escape Lounge.

It’s also a good sign that Escape Lounges will continue to add lounges at US airports!  But even if you don’t travel through Sacramento often, there are still lots of lounges you can access for free!

Centurion Lounges Are Also Expanding

You can get free access to Centurion Lounges with The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum® Card from American Express.  You’ll have to show your American Express credit card, a boarding pass showing a confirmed reservation for same-day travel and a government-issued I.D.

Centurion Lounges, which are considered the best US lounges, are adding new lounges to these cities:

  • Denver
  • New York (JFK)
  • Los Angeles
  • Charlotte
  • Phoenix
  • London Heathrow (its second location)

American Express credit cardholders can bring up to two guests at no additional charge. You may purchase a day pass for any additional guests.

The story could be a one liner: Amex is adding more lounges at US airports.

This is just a click bait to apply for the card using the MMS link as a referral.
