Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers. Doctor of Credit reports this Friday, September 23, 2016, you may be able to buy an Amazon Prime membership for $68.  And save $31 off the normal price of $99.

You’ll get perks like free 2-day shipping, streaming movies and music, and more.

Amazon has NOT confirmed details of the Amazon Prime membership discount yet.  But rumors are you’ll have 3 to 5 days to purchase the cheaper membership.

Folks who recently paid their $99 membership fee might be able to get a refund.  Then, purchase a new membership at the discounted rate.  And it’s unclear if they’ll honor the deal for long-term subscribers or gift memberships.

It’s also great for folks who travel.  Because you can download movies and TV shows to your personal device and stream them on-the-go!

And when you fly JetBlue, you can log-in to your Amazon Prime account to watch movies and TV shows through their Fly-Fi system.

Memberships typically cost $99 per year.  But starting Friday, September 23, 2016, it should only cost $68.

There are no official details from Amazon yet.  But the Amazon Prime membership discount is expected to only be available for a few days!

What If You Already Have an Amazon Prime Membership?

It’s unclear if you can extend your current membership with this deal if you already subscribe to Amazon Prime.

There was a similar promotion last year.  But it was only available for new memberships and NOT gift subscriptions.  So we’ll have to wait and see what the exact terms are this year.

If you can use the deal for a gift membership, it might be possible to purchase one for yourself.  And then use it to extend your own subscription at the discounted rate.  I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if it’s possible!
