Yesterday I let you know about Southwest’s latest sale.  And today, JetBlue has released a sale of its own.  With fares starting from just $39.  For travel between October 17, 2017, and December 14, 2017!

I found a one-way flight from Baltimore to Orlando for just $59.  And a flight between New York and Charleston, South Carolina, for only $94!

How to Book It

Link:   JetBlue Fare Sale

JetBlue has announced their fall sale, with fares starting at $39 one-way!  Most fares are higher, but there are still great deals to be had!

For example, you can fly one-way from Orlando to Austin for $84, to Havana, Cuba, for $99 or to San Jose, Costa Rica, for $144.

Tickets must be purchased by October 5, 2017, at 11:59 PM Easter Time or local time (whichever is earlier).

Here are the details:

  • Valid for travel between October 17, 2017, and December 14, 2017
  • Blackout dates between November 16, 2017, and November 28, 2017, for all routes
  • Blackout dates between November 7, 2017, and November 13, 2017, for flights to and from New York JKF, New York LGA, Newark, and White Plains, New York (HPN)
  • Other restrictions vary by route, so check before you book!

JetBlue Tips

Folks with the JetBlue Plus Card from Barclaycard or JetBlue Business Card from Barclaycard get a free first checked bag for the cardholder and up to 3 companions on the same reservation when you use your card to pay for your ticket.

Keep in mind you have 24 hours to cancel a reservation if the flight is at least 7 days away.  So, you can take advantage of these extremely cheap fares and finalize plans later.

Hotel Information

If you book a sale flight, remember there are lots of ways to get cheap or free hotel rooms with points from credit card bonuses and spending.

To find hotels that can be booked with points, I use Hotel Hustle (which even shows you if rooms are actually available!) or AwardMapper.

Remember, you can transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to different hotel programs.

Note:  If you prefer to book paid stays, check out discount sites like Orbitz, Expedia, or TravelPony for deals.  But remember you won’t get stay credits or points (and might not have your elite status recognized!).

Airbnb is another terrific way to save money on accommodations, especially for longer stays.  Here are some tips on how to negotiate a better Airbnb price, and how to find a safe and comfortable Airbnb.
