I love traveling, and when I got pregnant, I thought that my traveling days were over. However, I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be that way! My daughter is 11 months old and has been on 5 trips.
We’ve traveled to Hawaii, to Spain, and yes, to Grandma and Grandpa’s house–and toting our daughter in our favorite stroller helps a lot. The BabyZen Yoyo+ is dope. Not only is this stroller perfect for traveling, but it’s great for every day use. Check out my video demo here:
Why I Love the Babyzen Yoyo+:
- It fits in the overhead compartment of the airplane.
- It’s very easy to maneuver (you can push it one handed)!
- It’s easy to open and close.
- It reclines so baby can relax.
- It’s durable & well made.
- It handles extra luggage well.
- I can add a skateboard to it.
The Babyzen Yoyo+ costs $499. This is a lot of money, but other strollers retail for ~$300-$800+. And if I purchase it through Chase’s shopping portal, I can usually get thousands of points for my purchase (more on this in another post!!).
My favorite credit card to use when shopping for baby equipment is the Chase Freedom Unlimited. That’s because I earn 1.5X the points for all purchases. And if I combine it with points earned through the Chase shopping portal, they can multiply fast!
It fits in the overhead compartment of the airplane
I didn’t realize how much I love this feature until after I flew with my daughter. It’s so convenient to take the stroller on the plane with you. You don’t have to wait for the gate checked luggage to be delivered, and you don’t have to worry about your stroller getting damaged. Plus, all the flight attendants are very impressed when they hand me a pink tag and I decline it, announcing that it fits in the overhead!
Since it fits in the overhead compartment, it also fits nicely in my car’s trunk, without taking up the whole space! That’s why I love this stroller so much.
It’s very easy to maneuver (you can push it one handed)!
This stroller is a breeze to push. It’s lightweight, smooth, and easy.
It’s easy to open and close.
Some kids’ equipment can be notoriously difficult to set up and break down. Not the Yoyo+. I can open the stroller one handed with the flick of my wrist. It’s also really easy to close.
It reclines so baby can relax.
When my baby is sleepy, it’s nice having the option to lay her down. This stroller does NOT lie flat, though.
It’s durable & well made.
I’ve had this stroller for about 6 months, and it still looks and feels brand new. I can tell it’s a quality piece of equipment, and not just some cheap flimsy plastic.
It handles extra luggage well.
Although the storage compartment underneath the stroller is small, the stroller handles additional luggage well. I’ve hung 30 pound backpacks from it, and even a cooler with over 300 ounces full of frozen breastmilk.
I can add a skateboard to it.
Since I don’t have another kid, I haven’t tried this benefit yet. But other moms told me that a stroller with a skateboard option is a must. That way, young kids can hop on and off, without the need for a huge double stroller.
This stroller is NOT for you if you use your stroller on a lot of dirt/muddy paths.
I love the Babyzen Yoyo+ because it’s durable, versatile, and fits in the overhead compartment of the airplane. It’s very easy to maneuver, and it’s easy to open and close. It reclines so baby can relax, but it’d be nice if it was a fully lie flat seat. The storage compartment underneath the stroller is small, but you can easily hang a backpack or cooler on its handles. If you have two children, you can purchase the skateboard to stroll them both around at the same time.
