Hyatt Gold Passport graciously donated 66,000 points to give away to readers (I’m not keeping any points for myself) and to remind them of Hyatt’s current promotion.
You can earn up to 44,000 extra Hyatt points by staying at a Hyatt for 16 nights, and earn an additional 11,000 Hyatt points if you have the Hyatt credit card.
You earn 4,000 points after the first 4 nights, 8,000 points after 8 nights, 12,000 points after 12 nights, & 20,000 points after 16 nights for a total of 44,000 extra Hyatt points.
You also earn an extra 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 & 5,000 bonus points for staying 4, 8, 12, & 16 nights if you have the Hyatt credit card (you don’t have to pay for your stays with it).
The promotion runs until April 2012, but you have to register before March 31, 2012.
I have Hyatt Diamond elite status from participating in the StarMegaDO last year. I quite like the 4 confirmed suite upgrades and free breakfast, and have been toying with the idea of mattress running (i.e checking-in to a hotel just to earn credit towards elite status and for the points).
But I still haven’t made up my mind. When I started writing the blog, I said that I wouldn’t do “crazy” things like chase elite status, but I love the look on Emily and my family’s face when they see their upgraded suite.
Frequent Miler has an interesting post on how to use a Hyatt Diamond challenge and this promotion to get top tier Hyatt Diamond status.
Let’s win 66,000 points!
Hyatt indicated that they will NOT be issuing 1099 Misc tax forms to the prize winners.
