2.   Free Marriott Silver Elite Status.  View from the Wing writes about how to earn Marriott Silver elite status for free.

3.   20% Discount on Starwood Hotel Points.  Loyalty Traveler explains whether or not you should buy Starwood hotel points at a 20% discount.  Starwood is selling points for 2.8 cents per point up to November 30, 2012.

4.   50 Aeroplan Miles.   Free Frequent Flyer Miles  reports that you can earn 50 Aeroplan miles if you register  your Costco and Aeroplan (frequent flyer program of Air Canada) number online.

5.   Club Carlson Points Sale.  MileValue explains how to take advantage of the Club Carlson hotel points sale. Cash and Points stays are eligible for the Radisson “Stay One Night. For the Marriott silver elite it looks like you can’t already be a member? Is that true? It looks like you need to join as a new member to get silver elite status. I will soon get silver elite with them by staying 10 paid stays but this would have been a good way to get it sooner if I wasn’t already a member.

Anyone see the United miles post yet?
