Via Miles to Memories, JetBlue is giving folks 15% off their flights when they enter the promo code “RECESS” at checkout. But you must purchase tickets by tomorrow, December 13, 2017.
For example, I found a flight from Boston to Atlanta for $43 one-way on January 17, 2018. Sale fares are valid for travel between January 10, 2018, and March 14, 2018. But there are black out dates.
Here are the details. And how to search for deals from your city!

JetBlue is offering folks a 15% discount on airfare when you book by tomorrow, December 13, 2017. This is a discount on the base airfare only (NOT taxes & fees).
For example, I found a flight from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale on January 10, 2018, for ~$30, plus $16 in taxes & fees. Because this 15% discount only applies to the $30 in airfare, the final price was $41. ($30 base airfare – 15% = ~$25 + $16 in taxes).
Here’s what you need to know:
- Travel is valid from January 10, 2018, to February 14, 2018, and February 26, 2108, to March 14, 2018
- NOT valid for travel on Friday or Sunday
- Use Promo Code “RECESS“
- 1 promo code per booking
This deal appears to only be valid for cash bookings. All test bookings I made did NOT discount the amount of points I needed to book the flight.
Folks with the JetBlue Plus Card from Barclaycard or JetBlue Business Card from Barclaycard get a free first checked bag for the cardholder and up to 3 companions on the same reservation when you use your card to pay for your ticket.
Keep in mind you have 24 hours to cancel a reservation if the flight is at least 7 days away. So, you can take advantage of these extremely cheap fares and finalize plans later.
If you book a sale flight, remember there are lots of ways to get cheap or free hotel rooms with points from credit card bonuses and spending.
Remember, you can transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to different hotel programs.
Note: If you prefer to book paid stays, check out discount sites like Orbitz, Expedia, or TravelPony for deals. But remember you won’t get stay credits or points (and might not have your elite status recognized!).
