Scott:   I’m not planning to fly Frontier Airlines any time soon.  But that doesn’t stop me from admiring them from afar.

Here’s why…

Frontier’s low prices often pressure other airlines flying that same route to bring their prices down too.

I like low prices.  I also like quality.  But you can’t always have your peanut butter with jelly.  So I like having options.

What we all need is a clear and easy list of what’s included with your fare.  Google Flights kinda sorta tries to do this.  But it should be simple, like a restaurant menu.

Sure, when you go to dinner at the OliveAppleFactoryGarden, you don’t really expect the service to be all fancy-pants.  But you do expect it to be clear that your meatloaf comes with your choice of baked potato or mac n’ cheese and that substituting a side of fried brussels sprouts will cost $1.29 extra.

As customers, we should haven’t to memorize all the options or have to dive into the rules of each airline to learn that your Economy Minus ticket comes with no checked bag, no carry-on bag, and one personal item that must be stored in your left back pocket.

I’d try Frontier, but I’m willing to pay a bit more for extra legroom and carry-on bags with JetBlue.  Or a bit more for 2 free checked bags with Southwest.  Those airlines also have good loyalty programs, so that’s a factor too.

Note:   The Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card has an unusually high offer right now.

It’s great to have Frontier as a choice when you need a budget flight.  It’s also great to have airline miles too!  Meghan was just telling the rest of the Million Mile Secrets team here in our hidden headquarters deep inside a mountain how she booked a short last-minute flight using British Airways Avios points to fly on Alaska Airlines to the West Coast.  Her tickets would’ve been crazy expensive if she had to pay with cash (like over $1,500 expensive!).

Note:   Right now, the British Airways Visa Signature® Card is offering a 100,000 British Airways Avios points sign-up bonus after meeting minimum spending requirements.  Sorry, not sorry, miles are the secret to great travel!

Frontier’s ultra-low pricing has made air travel affordable for folks who couldn’t otherwise get on a plane.  Not everyone is like us.  Not everyone owns a very good or excellent credit score that allows them to collect miles from travel credit cards.

Frontier is very excited to offer special introductory fares starting at a measly $39 at FlyFrontier.com.  Be sure to pay with a credit card where you earn bonus points for travel and get trip delay insurance like our #1 travel credit card for beginners, the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

I had miles I needed to burn on Frontier but the nearest airport they serve is two hours away and the flight is at midnight landing at 4 am in Denver. SO, to burn them, I had to drive three hours. I closed my card, not sadly, and lost the rest of my miles. Never again!

My wife has 40k and I have 10k.

I’m just looking for an opportunity to use these miles and stop collecting Frontier miles.

I thought the seats were ok, but the paying for a wheeled carry on bag, really gripes me.

Having flown Ryan Air, Air Asia and Viet Jet, they are all more accomading than Frontier.

“Why Frontier Is My Favorite Airline That I’ve Never Flown”

If you ever fly Frontier you’ll change your mind.

Frontier signed a codeshare agreement with Volaris (Mexican LCC), so expect more routes in upcoming months

http://ir.volaris.com/English/news-and-events/press-releases/press-release-details/2018/Volaris-and-Frontier-Airlines-Sign-Codeshare-Agreement/default.aspx

And I forgot to mention that Frontier’s points expire with only 6 months of inactivity.

Plus, really no shopping portal to extend your points for 6 months.
