Hey, I’m Keith!
I didn’t take my first flight until I was 19 years old. My mom won a vacation to Aruba and took me along for the trip. Since then, I’ve been obsessed with traveling!
I’m lucky to have an AMAZING travel partner, my wife Liz. We’ve taken some unforgettable trips together, including an around-the-world honeymoon to Amsterdam, Cape Town, Dubai, Bali, and Singapore. Our most recent big adventure was a trip to New Zealand and Sydney with my in-laws. Thanks to miles & points, we were able to book Business Class award flights, which made the long journey much more enjoyable!
Friends and family know me to be the person who is not shy about writing letters when things go wrong. Although, I’m happy to share positive feedback, too! It probably has something to do with a lesson I learned in fourth grade about persuasive writing. I sent a letter to a large bowling franchise and received coupons for free games. It’s surprising how many free miles & points you can get just by writing to an airline or hotel company.
When we travel, we generally don’t spend more than 3 or 4 days in any one destination. I love to get a feel for an area. If we like it, we can always go back and explore more at a later date. That’s one of my favorite parts of having the Southwest Companion Pass. This great deal allows us to get 2-for-1 flights, so we’re able to take mini-vacations to lots of terrific destinations.
We’re based in Los Angeles and live near the beach. So beach vacations are not really my thing.
The part I love most about collecting miles & points is the opportunity to maximize rewards for otherwise expensive and out of reach travel experiences. Having the ability to earn 1 or 2 credit card sign-up bonuses for First Class and luxury hotel stays is amazing!
When I’m not planning an award trip, you can find me scheming for new ways to earn miles & points. That’s how I ended up earning 500,000 points selling sewing machines on eBay!
I’m so grateful to be a part of the Million Mile Secrets team. And I love having an opportunity to share tips & tricks from my travel experience with our loyal readers!
