Still Ready to Switch to a New Frequent Flyer Program?
The best place to start is by setting your travel goals. Then take a look at which airlines and their partners have the best flight options from your home airport.
For example, if you plan on vacationing within North America, flights under 1,150 miles only cost 7,500 British Airways Avios points each way on Alaska Airlines and American Airlines!
These flights could cost you 10,000 to 12,500 miles each way with other airline miles.
Plus, you can transfer points from 3 flexible programs to British Airways!
Even if you’ve earned the sign-up bonus for every American Airlines credit card available, you may still have options to quickly earn more miles for your next trip!
For example, you can earn American Airlines miles by signing-up for an AMEX Starwood personal or small business card and transferring the points at a 1:1 ratio with a 5,000 mile bonus for every 20,000 points you transfer.
Check my full list of ways to earn American Airlines miles to see if you might have missed something.
You may also be able to earn the sign-up bonus on certain Citi American Airlines card again, if it’s been ~18 to ~24 months since you last held the card.
