If you’re a business owner, you should examine the Ink Business Cash Credit Card. Chase is currently offering a welcome bonus of $750 cash after meeting minimum spending requirements.

And because the card has no annual fee, it won’t cost you anything to keep. This is a huge intro bonus for a no-annual-fee credit card. It’s a no-brainer to apply.

But beyond the card’s generous welcome bonus offer, you’ll earn valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points on your purchases and you’ll get plenty of extra benefits like extended warranty and purchase protection.

I’ll go through some of the perks that you may not know about. And you can read our full Chase Ink Business Cash review for more details about the card.

Benefits and perks of the Chase Ink Business Cash

The Chase Ink Business Cash is a small business credit card, so you’ll want to ensure you have a for-profit venture (even a small side-gig) to qualify. But qualifying as a small business owner is easier than you think. Selling items on eBay, tutoring or doing any type of yard maintenance could make you eligible for small-business cards. You can even use your own name as your business name.

Read our step-by-step post about how to complete a Chase business card application.

Huge sign-up bonus

With the Ink Business Cash, you’ll earn $750 bonus cash back after you spend $7,500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. This is the highest offer we’ve ever seen on the card.

The Chase Ink Business Cash functions as a cash back business credit card (read our post explaining what cash back is to better understand). The cash back you earn can be redeemed in different ways. But that cash back is actually technically Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which are worth one cent if you were to cash it out for a statement credit. This bonus is worth at least $750.

However, you can redeem them for much more than cash back, but gift cards, discounts on Amazon, and travel through the Chase Travel Portal. The Chase travel portal is powered by Expedia. However, it’s possible to get FAR more value for your points — I’ll explain in just a bit. And read our post on the best way to use Chase points for more info.

Strong earning rate

As an Ink Business Cash cardholder, you’ll also earn the following:

Extended warranty protection

Extended warranties give me peace of mind whenever I make a purchase. For no added cost, you can get this benefit simply by using the Ink Business Cash Credit Card to purchase an eligible item.

The card will give you an extra year of warranty protection on eligible items if the original manufacturer’s warranty is three years or less.

A few years ago, I was able to use the extended warranty protection through one of my credit cards to repair a faulty keyboard on my laptop. The repair would have cost me a few hundred dollars, but because I remembered I had an extra year of protection through my credit card, I was able to get reimbursed for the full cost of the repair.

Purchase protection

The Ink Business Cash Credit Card also provides protection against damage or theft for eligible items. There’s no added cost and you’re covered as long as you purchase the item with the card.

You’ll be covered on new purchases for 120 days, up to $10,000 per claim and a maximum of $50,000 per account. There are specific time limits and documentation requirements.

Imagine purchasing an expensive item, only to have it stolen a few days later. If you bought it with your Ink Business Cash Credit Card, you’ll be made whole since you’re covered up to the stated limits, which are quite high.

Roadside assistance

Roadside assistance for, say, a flat tire, isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think of credit card perks, but the Ink Business Cash Credit Card has you covered here as well. If you don’t have roadside assistance on your auto insurance, you can call Chase’s roadside assistance at 800-847-2869 to get help. And roadside dispatch can help you with more than a flat tire. They can also help with:

The terms and conditions state that you’ll be provided the cost of services when you call. Million Mile Secrets contributor Devon made a call to Chase and was informed that the flat fee is ~$70.

It may not be free, but it certainly beats having no help at all.

Primary rental car insurance

It’s not unusual to be on a trip and want to rent a car, but should you purchase rental car insurance through the car rental agency?

If you have the Ink Business Cash Credit Card, you can decline the insurance offered by the agency because the Ink Business Cash Credit Card offers primary car rental insurance when you rent a car for business purposes.

Some banks offer secondary car rental insurance as a perk of their credit cards but that coverage only covers what’s left over after you have filed a claim with your primary car insurance provider. You’ll still have to pay your deductible, as well as damage to other cars, property and injuries to other persons.

Being covered with primary rental car insurance, on the other hand, typically means that the credit card insurance will pick up the tab for physical damage, damage due to theft and towing charges, and you won’t have to file a separate claim with your personal car insurance company.

Pairing the Ink Business Cash with other cards

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are my favorite because they’re easy to earn and redeem.

But if you have another eligible annual-fee Chase credit card, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, Ultimate Rewards points can be worth much more. This is because you’re able to pool your points with one of these cards and transfer them to any of Chase transfer partners to book award flights and hotels.

For instance, you’d be able to transfer 35,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Singapore Airlines for a round-trip ticket to Hawaii from the East Coast, a potential value of $1,000 or more.

With another eligible Chase card, you could transfer your 35,000 Ultimate Rewards points to British Airways and book two round-trip tickets to Hawaii from the West Coast. (Photo by guiklaime/Shutterstock)

You could also redeem your points through the Chase travel portal for more value. If you have either the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Ink Business Preferred, your points will be worth 25% more when redeemed through the travel portal. And if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, your points will be worth 50% more.

Bottom line

We encourage all business owners to apply for the Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card. The card has no annual fee, so you can keep it forever. The card is currently offering the highest intro bonus we’ve ever seen on this card — $750 bonus cash back after you spend $7,500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Before you apply, you’ll want to be aware of Chase’s 5/24 application rule. If you’ve opened five or more cards from any bank (not counting Chase business cards) in the past 24 months, it’s unlikely you’ll be approved for the Chase Ink Business Cash.

If you have another eligible Chase card, you could pool your points to get even more value out of the intro bonus. On top of strong earning rates for your daily purchases, the card comes with benefits like purchase protection, extended warranty, primary rental car insurance for business rentals and more.
