Via Will Run For Miles, you can save a lot of time searching for available Points + Cash nights at Hyatt hotels.
There’s a special Corporate Code that allows you to find all of the Hyatt hotels in a city or region that have available room nights using Hyatt Points + Cash.
Normally, you’d have to search individual hotels and dates. So this is a real time-saver!
Points + Cash can be useful for folks looking to save money or who do not have enough points for a free award night.
I’ll show you how to use this trick!

Depending on the cash price of a room, using Points + Cash can make sense if you want to save Hyatt points or do not want to pay full price for a hotel room.
Points + Cash nights require half the number of Hyatt points needed for a regular award night plus a fixed amount of cash depending on the hotel category.
Points + Cash rooms, unlike regular award night redemptions, are subject to availability. This means you might be able to redeem a full award night while Points + Cash rooms are not available such as during busy travel times.
Points + Cash stays count toward elite stay credits. You also earn Hyatt points on the cash portion of a Points + Cash redemption, unlike award stays which don’t earn points.
And if you have Diamond status, you can use your suite upgrades during a Points + Cash stay.
Hyatt hotels include Andaz, Grand Hyatt Hyatt, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva (all inclusive), and Park Hyatt.
What’s the Trick?
Finding available Points + Cash rooms at Hyatt used to take time because you had to check each hotel individually.
Now you can enter “51440” in the Corporate or Group Code field to find all available Points + Cash hotels in a city or region.
An Example – Finding a Los Angeles Hyatt in June
For example, I searched for available Points + Cash rooms in the Los Angeles area using the Corporate code “51440” and sorted the results by price.
The results show prices of $55 and $75 per night. This matches the fixed cash amount needed for the Points + Cash option for Hyatt category 2 and 3 hotels. The list also shows hotels in the area at regular rates meaning Points + Cash rooms are not available.
I clicked on the category 3 Hyatt House Los Angeles/El Segundo to see if Points + Cash rooms were actually available.
But is this a good deal?
If you look at the regular cash rate for the night in June, the cost with taxes is ~$210. So using Points + Cash would save ~$135 off the regular rate. (~$210 cash cost of room – $75 Points + Cash fixed charge). Note that fees and taxes apply to the cash portion of Points + Cash reservations so savings can vary.
You could also use 12,000 Hyatt points and redeem a regular award night. But you wouldn’t earn points or stay credits.
Let’s look at another location.
Points + Cash at the Park Hyatt New York
I used the same Points + Cash search trick to see if rooms were available at the category 7 Park Hyatt New York.
Sure enough, I found a room in June 2016 for 15,000 Hyatt points + $300.
The same night in June would cost ~$925. Or I could redeem 30,000 Hyatt points for a regular award night. That’s a lot of Hyatt points!
By using Points + Cash, I’d save ~$625 in actual cash by using the Points + Cash options (~$925 cash cost of room – $300 for Points + Cash charges).
