How to Get a Quicker Global Entry Appointment!
If your local Global Entry center has a long delay, consider scheduling an appointment in a city you’ll be traveling to.
In October, I applied for Global Entry using the American Express Mercedes-Benz Platinum credit.
But it was a 2 month delay if I went to the center in Austin! So I went to the center in Chicago during the Chicago Seminars.
The interview was relaxed and ~5 minutes with a polite officer. And I got my Global Entry card ~1 week later!
However, my credit didn’t post automatically to my American Express Mercedes-Benz Platinum account. So I had to call AMEX at 800-525-3355 to get it resolved!
Check your American Express account to be sure you get the credit!
Bottom Line
With Global Entry you can get through security and customs faster.
Global Entry costs $100 and is valid for 5 years. But if you have a card like the American Express Mercedes-Benz Platinum you can get your fee refunded!
You may have to wait months for an appointment at a Global Entry center near you. But you may be able to get in quicker at another center in a city you’re traveling to.
