You can now use your Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card award night certificates to stay at an upscale (or as the English say, “posh”) hotel in London for free!

That’s because earlier this year, the Conrad St. James London opened its doors as a Hilton hotel.  There are lots of rooms available, even through the winter holiday season.

When you complete the minimum spending requirement of $2,500 within the 1st 4 months on the Citi Hilton Reserve card, you’ll get 2 certificates emailed to you.

These certificates can be used for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at nearly any Hilton hotel including the Conrad St. James London.

Hilton hotels include DoubleTreeConrad,  Embassy SuitesHampton InnHiltonHilton Garden InnHome2Suites,  Homewood Suites, and Waldorf Astoria brand hotels.

See my full review of the Citi Hilton Reserve card for details on how to use your free weekend night certificates.

Whenever you can book a “Standard Room Reward” you can use your Free Weekend Night certificate for that room on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night.

Here are instructions for booking a room with your certificates.

A Standard Room Is Available at Conrad St. James London, So You Could Use Your Certificates Over the Winter Holiday Season

You’ll notice the prices are even higher than the usual $450 per night.  That’s because I entered Saturday, December 27, 2014, for the date.  And hotels usually cost more during periods of high demand such as the Christmas and New Year’s season.

So if you’re looking to get the best deal, consider using your certificates when the paid price is more expensive.  That said, the best deal for you is going where you want to go, when you want to go!

You Can Walk to the Houses of Parliament From the Conrad St. James London. And the St. James Park Underground Station (Subway) Is Very Close.

After finding your dates, call Hilton to book your reservation using the certificate ID number you received in your email.  (You can’t book the free nights online.)

Call 800-548-8690 from the US & Canada Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 12:00 am Central Time.  Or call Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Central Time.  Outside the US, call 972-788-0878.

And You’ll Get Even More Than 2 Free Weekend Nights

Your Citi Hilton Reserve card also grants you Gold status so you’ll have free internet and breakfasts at the hotel.  And there is no foreign transaction fee, so you won’t be paying extra to use the card in the UK or wherever you travel.

Emily and I enjoyed London and it’s where she accepted my proposal!

Bottom Line

For folks planning a trip to London, the opening of the luxurious Conrad St. James London is great news!  That’s because you can get 2 free weekend nights when you complete the minimum spending on the Citi Hilton Reserve card.

Remember, if you’re open to traveling anywhere, you can even use your certificates to stay at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui, which Emily and I called our 2nd honeymoon in paradise.

Unfortunately, they along with many other brands do not offer any rooms for more than 2 people. We are used to using points and free nights here for rooms with at least 2 full size or queen size beds and no problems traveling with my young daughter. Not in most of Europe. Free nights are mostly limited to 2 people in all the nice places, and a second room does not make sense.

Really have to look hard amongst all brands to find reward rooms for three.

Plan to get Hilton reserve card middle of 2015 and travel to Italy, Spain or Portg. Looking for hotel recommendations in these countries..Thanks

You can also use the annual weekend free night certificate (for $10,000 in annual spend) at the Conrad London, or any other hotel that’s not on the “excluded” list.

FYI – I think Citi changed the definition of “annual” for purposes of determining $10,000 spend. Initially it was the year beginning on your anniversary date (Nov. 27 in my case). But recently I received a postcard stating it was the year beginning when your annual fee posts (Jan. 1 in my case).

I canceled 1st one right before a year and reapplied after a month, and did get the certs again!

I just signed up for this card yesterday using your link. The plan is to use my 2 free weekend nights in Tokyo. Gold = free breakfast!
