Signing-up for credit cards through partner links earns us a commission. Here’s our full Advertising Policy.
Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.
We don’t earn a commission for these cards, but Emily and I will always share the best deals!
That said, I do NOT recommend these cards if you’re new to miles & points. I’ll explain!
2 Cards, 1 Bank, $400 in Your Pocket!
Card #1 – BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa
Sign-in to your Bank of America account and click “Special Offers and Deals” on the top menu bar to see if you’ve been targeted!
If you’re NOT targeted, the regular offer for this card is $100 cash back after meeting the minimum spending requirement.
Card #2 – BankAmericard Cash Rewards Major League Baseball MasterCard
I wrote about the improved $200 sign-up bonus on the BankAmericard Cash Rewards Major League Baseball MasterCard with the same minimum spending requirement.
Neither of the cards have an annual fee. And while there are other no-annual-fee cash back cards, these could be a good choice if you already have a lot of cards from other banks.
Or if you like an easy cash back deal! $400 back for spending just $1,000 with one credit pull is a nice bonus!
You Must Apply for Both Cards on the Same Day
In my experience, Bank of America will combine the pulls into a single inquiry, when you apply for 2 cards on the same day.
That’s a good thing, because each hard pull on your credit report can (temporarily) decrease your credit score by a few points.
Doctor of Credit says they’ll combine up to 3 applications in a day into a single inquiry.
Note: You can get both of these BankAmericard Cash Rewards cards because one is Visa and the other is MasterCard. So they’re considered different card products.
These Are NOT the Best Cards If You’re New to Miles & Points
These are NOT good cards for folks starting out in our hobby.
By signing-up for the BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa (targeted) and BankAmericard Cash Rewards Major League Baseball MasterCard on the same day, your applications will be combined into a single credit pull.
You’ll earn a total of $400 cash back from the 2 cards when you meet the minimum spending requirements. Not bad for spending just $1,000 total – and neither card has an annual fee.
Emily and I don’t earn a commission from these cards, but we’ll always tell you about the best offers.
That said, if you’re new to our hobby, I suggest you do NOT apply for these cards! It’s better to start with more valuable Chase cards, because they likely won’t approve your application once you’ve opened ~5+ cards in the past 24 months.
