For example, you can transfer 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United Airlines for 2 round-trip coach tickets to New York City.  Then use the remaining 30,000 points from the sign-up bonus for a night at a luxurious Hyatt hotel.

I’ll also show you how to get fun trips to Key West and Las Vegas!

One of the simplest ways to use the 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points sign-up bonus from the Chase Ink Business Preferred card is for flights with United Airlines and nights with Hyatt.

Because Chase Ultimate Rewards points instantly transfer to United Airlines and Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.  And your points often go further to get you nicer hotels at Hyatt, compared to other Chase Ultimate Rewards hotel partners, like IHG or Marriott.

You can get 2 round-trip coach flights within the mainland US on United Airlines for 50,000 United Airlines miles.

Then transfer the other 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to cover the cost of your hotel stay.

Stay Longer at Category 2 Hotels.  Or Splurge for a Luxury Hotel Instead!

You’ll get more or fewer free nights depending on which Hyatt category your hotel is in.

For example, Category 2 Hyatt hotels cost 8,000 Hyatt points per night.  So with 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you could get 3 free nights (24,000 Hyatt points), with points to spare!

If you want a fancier experience, you can use 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a night at any Category 6 Hyatt hotel.  Because Category 6 Hyatt hotels cost 25,000 Hyatt points per night.  And you’ll have points left over!

Here are the Hyatt Category 6 hotels in the US:

And here are 3 ideas for how you can get Big Travel using the Chase Ink Business Preferred sign-up bonus for a trip for 2 to New York City, Las Vegas, or Key West!

1.   See a Show and Visit Museums in New York

Round-trip coach award tickets within mainland US cost 25,000 United Airlines miles.  So you could transfer 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United Airlines miles for 2 tickets to New York.

Spend the Weekend in New York City for 50,000 United Airlines Miles for 2 Round-Trip Coach Tickets From Anywhere in Mainland US

I found 2 tickets over the New Year holiday between Chicago and Newark for ~$656.  But you could use 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points transferred to United Airlines miles and get these tickets for nearly free!

Then you could use the remaining 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a night at the Hyatt Union Square New York.

I found nights for New Years Eve weekend for ~$587!  So using Hyatt points for your stay here would certainly be getting Big Travel with Small Money!

Million Mile Secrets team member Scott enjoyed his stay there earlier this year.  And liked that the hotel was within walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shops.

2.   Try Your Luck in Las Vegas

Or use your points for a trip to Las Vegas!

I found 2 round-trip coach tickets from Dallas to Las Vegas in February 2017 for ~$802.

You could then spend 2 nights at the popular MGM Grand hotel for 30,000 Hyatt points.

Rooms here cost ~$244 per night.  So you’ll save ~$488 using your Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a stay!

3.   Try the Pie in Key West

Emily and I enjoyed a mini-vacation in Key West, and you could use the 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points sign-up bonus from the Chase Ink Business Preferred card for a quick weekend trip there this winter.

I found 2 round-trip tickets from Washington, DC, to Key West for ~$984.  Or you could use 50,000 United Airlines miles for these same tickets and save almost $1,000!

Nights at the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa cost ~$685 or 25,000 Hyatt points per night.  I would certainly rather use 25,000 Hyatt points than spend over $600 for a night in a hotel room!

You can always stay longer with paid nights at an Airbnb.  So you can experience a luxury resort.  And then see more of the local culture!

In total, you would save ~$1,669 using the 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards point sign-up bonus from the Chase Ink Business Preferred card for this trip.  That’s a great deal!

And with the Citi Prestige, you can get the 4th night free, based on the average nightly cost of your stay, on paid hotel stays of 4+ consecutive nights booked through the Citi Travel concierge.  So you could use Hyatt points for a few nights, pay for 3 extra nights, and then get the 4th free!

Or mix-and-match paid and award stays with Airbnb!

3.   You’ll Really Earn 85,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points!

And don’t forget, you’ll earn (at least!) another 5,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for completing the minimum spending requirement from the Chase Ink Business Preferred card.  That’s enough for a room upgrade with Hyatt, or to save towards another free night!

Bottom Line

One of the easiest ways to use the 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards sign-up bonus from the Chase Ink Business Preferred card is for a vacation right here at home!

You can get Big Travel to popular vacation destinations like New York, Las Vegas, and Key West.

Because you can transfer 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United Airlines for 2 round-trip coach flights within the US.  Then transfer the remaining 30,000 points to Hyatt for an award stay.  Like a night in a luxury Category 6 Hyatt hotel, including the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa that usually costs ~$685+ per night!

If you want to extend your trip, you could earn more Chase Ultimate Rewards points with cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred.  Or use the 4th night free perk from the Citi Prestige.  Mixing-and-matching paid and award stays with Airbnb can save you money too!

Where would you go with your points?
