Can I get the US Bank Club Carlson card more than once? I’ve got the card now, but I want to close it and get the bonus again. Also, if my wife gets the card, can she use the 1 free night with the points that I’ve earned? If not, is there any way to transfer my points to her?
But Welltall has already received the bonus once. So can he get sign-up for the US Bank Club Carlson Card again and earn the 85,000 points a 2nd time?
Aside from the sign-up bonus, 1 of the best perks of this card is that you get 1 free night when you book 2 or more consecutive award nights! If Welltall’s wife gets the card can she use his points to book the 2 award nights and still get the free night?
Welltall’s wife can get the 1 free night with his points! And he should be able to get the sign-up bonus again. I’ll show you how it works!

The US Bank Club Carlson card comes with an 85,000 point sign-up bonus when you complete the minimum spending. It also includes fantastic perks such as:
- 10X Club Carlson points per $1 spent at Club Carlson hotels
- 5X Club Carlson points per $1 spent everywhere else
- 40,000 Club Carlson points on your card anniversary each year
- 1 free night when you book 2 or more consecutive award nights

The $75 annual fee is NOT waived.
Can You Get the Sign-Up Bonus More Than Once?
The US Bank Club Carlson card terms say,
Neither New Account Bonus is available to applicants who have had this Card or another Club Carlson credit card product within the last 12 months.
So Welltall should be able to get the sign-up bonus again once his current account has been closed for a year. Check out my list of other cards that let you earn the sign-up bonus more than once!
But keep in mind, US Bank can be very picky about approving folks who have a lot of credit pulls on their report in the past year or so. So it might be better to keep his current card and get the 40,000 point anniversary bonus, instead of cancel and gamble on getting approved again for 85,000 in a year.If Welltall wants more Club Carlson points, there’s a great promotion going on right now! He can earn 15,000 bonus points with a 2 night paid stay or 30,000 bonus points with a 3 night paid stay through March 29, 2015.
Can You Share the Stay 2 Nights Get 1 Free Perk?

The easiest way to do this is to transfer his points to her Club Carlson account by calling Club Carlson Member Services at 888-288-8889.

Bottom Line
With the US Bank Club Carlson card, you should be able to get the sign-up bonus a 2nd time. That is, as long as your original account has been closed for at least 1 year.
But most folks choose to keep the card because you get 40,000 Club Carlson points on your card anniversary each year. And that’s enough points for a free night at category 4 hotels like the Park Inn by Radisson Munich.
Plus, cardholders get 1 award night free whenever booking at least 2 consecutive nights.
Elite members can transfer Club Carlson points to a friend’s or spouse’s account for free by calling 888-288-8889.
