Any good comparison notes for the Intercontinental Strings Tokyo vs Intercontinental Tokyo Bay? I have a stay booked at Tokyo Bay later this year, never been to Tokyo but it was cheaper in points.

Intercontinental Sydney Double Bay is 50k points and often more expensive than the other Intercontinental in Sydney. It is the famous hotel where Michael Hutchins spent his last days. It is the former Ritz Carlton. The area is posh and lively at night and only 10 minutes by train to downtown. Also, guests have access to the rooftop pool whereas non-guests have to pay a minimum of $250 AUD per person in the restaurant/lounge for access.

Have stayed at both, IC Double Bay indeed is a much better hotel, than IC Sydney.

@Roy @TD – That’s how the blog stores images.

@Douglas Holcomb – Great tips! It sounds like my kind of place!

@Luckyladyd @Christine – Good question! I’m not sure. Please let me know if you try it and how it goes!

I I am wondering the same thing. I did a status match and got diamond status with Hilton until 2017. Can I do another status match to get me to keep diamond until 2018 I meet all the requirements

Sorry- correction to last comment: . . Through the 2018 date.
