Take Advantage of the the Limited-Time AMEX Delta Offers!

Link:   4 Best-Ever AMEX Delta Card Offers Won’t Be Around Forever

1.   The Sign-Up Bonuses Are the Highest Public Offers I’ve Seen!

The quickest and easiest way to boost your account balance with any rewards program is to earn lucrative credit card sign-up bonuses.  So with the AMEX Delta cards offering their best-ever sign-up bonuses, it’s a great time to sign-up.

Remember, AMEX only allows folks to earn the sign-up bonus ONCE per person, per lifetime, on ALL their cards.  This means it’s best to apply when the bonuses are highest because who knows when the deals might come around again!

And keep in mind, the AMEX Delta cards are considered different products.  So if you’ve had one, you can still get the others!

2.   Use Miles to Book Award Flights and Save Lots of Money!

Earning a stash of Delta miles means you’ll have the opportunity to book Big Travel with Small Money!

Although Delta no longer publishes an award chart, you can easily search for award flights and pricing on Delta.com.  Depending on your travel goals, the sign-up bonuses can have significant value!

For example, with the AMEX Delta Platinum (personal and small business), you’ll earn 70,000 Delta miles after meeting minimum spending requirements.

If you like to ski, I found available round-trip coach award flights from Atlanta to Salt Lake City in January 2017 for 23,000 Delta miles per person.  With the the AMEX Delta Platinum card sign-up bonus, you’d have enough miles for 3 award seats!  Paying cash for these seats could cost $1,200+!

Earn 70,000 Delta Miles With the AMEX Delta Platinum Card Sign-Up Bonus and You Can Book 3 Round-Trip Award Flights to Salt Lake City, Just a ~30 Minute Drive From the Park City Ski Area!

Or splurge on a one-way Business Class award seat to Europe.  I found a non-stop award flight from Newark to Paris available in April 2017 for 70,000 Delta miles.  This seat would cost several thousand dollars if you paid cash.

3.   You Can Redeem Delta Miles for Award Flights on Partner Airlines

Delta is part of the SkyTeam Alliance, which means you can redeem Delta miles for award flights on partner airlines, like Air France, KLM, Korean Air, and many others!  You can also book award flights on non-alliance partner airlines, like WestJet!

Having Delta Miles Opens Up Award Flight Options on Partner Airlines, Like Air France!

Million Mile Secrets team member Keith used Delta miles to book award flights on KLM to fly non-stop from Amsterdam to Cape Town for his honeymoon.

4.   Easily Redeem Miles Using Pay With Miles

If you’re not interested in booking award flights, the sign-up bonuses with the AMEX Delta cards can still be very valuable.  Because AMEX Delta cardholders get access to Pay With Miles.

Using Pay With Miles, your Delta miles are worth 1 cent each.  This means you can redeem the AMEX Delta card sign-up bonuses to quickly get $600 to $700 worth of Delta flights.  There are no blackout dates when you book this way and you’ll earn miles and credit toward elite status just like other paid flights!

To use this benefit, you must book on the Delta website.  And only Delta and Delta Connection operated flights are eligible (not partner flights).

5.   Save Money on Checked Bags

With AMEX Delta cards, you get a free checked bag for yourself and up to 8 other people traveling on the same itinerary.  This is an automatic perk on paid and award flights.

For folks without Delta elite status this perk can save you lots of money depending how often you fly with the airline.  Because Delta charges $25 for your first checked bag each way.  If you’re traveling with a friend or family member on the same reservation, you could save $100 round-trip!

Saving Money on Checked Bag Fees Means Extra Cash in Your Pocket!

6.   Earn Elite Status Faster!

With Delta elite status, you can enjoy terrific perks like complimentary upgrades, waived baggage fees, priority boarding, and more!

10 Reasons Why The Delta AMEX Limited Time Offers Are Worth Considering
Having Delta Elite Status Can Increase Your Chances of Being Upgraded to Business Class!

And having certain credit cards makes it easier to qualify for Delta elite status.  For example, after meeting minimum spending requirements with the AMEX Delta Platinum personal or small business card, you’ll earn 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles.

You must earn 25,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles (and meet additional requirements) in a calendar year to achieve Delta Silver elite status.  So earning the qualifying miles with the credit card can give you a head start!

And if you’re a big spender, you can earn even more miles that count toward elite status.  With these cards, you’ll earn:

  • 10,000 Medallion qualifying miles after spending $25,000 in a calendar year
  • 10,000 additional Medallion qualifying miles and 10,000 bonus Delta miles when you spend $50,000 in a a calendar year

7.   AMEX Small Business Cards Don’t Appear on Your Personal Credit Report!

You can apply for Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express or Platinum Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card from American Express without worrying about the new accounts counting toward card limits with other banks (like Chase!)

Because AMEX small business cards don’t show up on your personal credit report!  So folks who are waiting to get under the Chase “5/24” limit can still earn valuable sign-up bonuses without extending the waiting period to apply for more Chase cards.

8.   Minimum Spending Might Be Easier to Complete With Holiday Spending

To unlock the lucrative sign-up bonuses on the AMEX Delta cards, you’ll have to complete the minimum spending requirements in a certain time frame following your date of approval.

I’ve put together a list of 40+ ways to help you meet minimum spending requirements.  And with the holiday season approaching, it might be easier to meet the requirements if you’re purchasing gifts for family and friends.

9.   Fly With a Friend or Loved One Using the Delta Companion Certificate

A unique perk for AMEX Delta Platinum cardholders is the round-trip coach companion certificate you get each year on your cardmember anniversary.

You can use this certificate to bring a companion on eligible domestic Delta flights for just the cost of taxes and fees.

I’ve written about the restrictions of the certificate and how this benefit can easily offset the card’s $195 annual fee.

Bottom Line

The best public offers I’ve seen for the AMEX Delta cards are available until November 8, 2017.  The limited-time deals are great whether you’re looking to book award flights on Delta or partner airlines or just want to quickly save $600 to $700 off Delta flights.

There are lots of other fantastic reasons to consider the offers.  For example, the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express or Platinum Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card from American Express won’t show up on your personal credit report.  This means they won’t count against you if you’re trying to stay under Chase’s “5/24” limit!

Remember, the AMEX Delta cards are considered different card products.  So if you’ve had one, you can still get the others!

Do you just have to apply for the card by Nov 8 or spend the $4K by Nov 8?

Million Mile Secrets

You just have to apply by November 8. The minimum spending clock starts from your date of approval.

The Delta Platinum business says $100 statement credit for making a Delta purchase within the first 3 months. Would this be something as simple as an inflight cocktail?

Million Mile Secrets

In-flight purchases should count toward the credit.

#11. Have gotten just about every travel credit card there is over the past four years. So down to some stragglers
