Earn 1,000 American Airlines Miles When Staying at Hyatt House or Hyatt Place
Hyatt is giving folks the opportunity to earn 1,000 bonus American Airlines miles on top of their regular earnings when staying at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place hotels!
Here’s what you need to know:
- Register by April 30, 2018
- Stays must be completed by June 30, 2018
- Only valid for Hyatt House and Hyatt Place hotel stays
- Valid for award nights
At check-in, you have the option to choose miles or points as your earning preference. If you choose miles, you’ll earn 500 American Airlines miles on top of the 1,000 bonus American Airlines miles you’ll receive with this promotion. If you choose points, you’ll earn the normal amount of base Hyatt points, along with 1,000 American Airlines miles.
Is This a Good Deal?
This is NOT worth switching your hotel stays, but you should still register for this deal. Because every mile counts, and earning a bonus 1,000 American Airlines miles for a stay you’d make anyway is a no-brainer.
I recommend choosing Hyatt points as your earning preference instead of miles. For example, if you’re staying at the Hyatt House Charleston, you’ll pay ~$215 per night.
If you stay 2 nights, you’ll spend ~$430, and earn either 500 American Airlines miles or ~3,225 Hyatt points ($430 X 5 Hyatt points per $1). Depending on whether you choose to earn miles or points.
So you’d earn LOTS more hotel points. Plus, American Airlines miles are harder to use these days.
This promotion is likely NOT worth switching your hotel stays for, because there are much more valuable hotel promotions at the moment. But if you already have a paid stay at a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place planned, you should definitely sign-up.
