Via Points With a Crew, some folks can earn up to a 100% bonus when purchasing Hilton points through March 16, 2018.  The size of your bonus will depend on whether or not you have a Hilton Honors American Express Card.

If you need Hilton points for an expensive stay or want to top-off your account for a particular award, this could be a good deal!

Link:   Buy Hilton Points With a Bonus

Through March 16, 2018, you may be able to earn up to a 100% bonus when you buy 5,000+ Hilton points in a single transaction.  If you have any of the AMEX Hilton Honors credit cards, you can earn a 100% bonus.  If not, you’ll earn an 80% bonus.

Hilton has offered a 100% bonus on points purchases before.  And normally, Hilton sells points for 1 cent each, in 1,000 point increments.  So 1,000 Hilton points usually costs $10.

But with this deal, you can buy Hilton points for as little as 0.5 cents each when you buy 5,000+ points.  For example, you’ll pay $150 for 15,000 Hilton points, and get a 15,000 point bonus ($150 / 30,000 points).

You can only buy a maximum of 80,000 Hilton points per calendar year (before any bonuses are applied).  So the most you can buy is 80,000 Hilton points for $800.  But you’ll get up to another 80,000 Hilton point bonus, for a total of 160,000 Hilton points.

Is This a Good Deal?

As always, I suggest doing the math to see what makes sense for you.

For example, the Hampton Inn by Hilton Monterrey/Galerías-Obispado in Mexico sells for $100+ per night.  But you can reserve a free night for just 10,000 Hilton points.

Low Category Hotels Like the Hampton Inn by Hilton Monterrey/Galerías-Obispado Are Usually a Good Deal With Points

So with this bonus promotion, you can buy 15,000 Hilton points for $150 and receive a 15,000 point bonus.  That’s enough for 3 nights at this hotel, and a savings of $150 (3 nights = $300 – $150 spent for 30,000 points).

Just know that it can be difficult to find award nights at certain popular hotels.  So check the award calendar before taking advantage of this deal if you have an upcoming stay in mind.

More Ways to Earn Hilton Points

There are lots of ways to earn Hilton points.  For example, you could apply for a Hilton co-branded credit card, like:

Or earn them indirectly by transferring points from American Express Membership Rewards, Virgin Atlantic, or Hawaiian Airlines.

Bottom Line

Until March 16, 2018, some folks can earn up to a 100% bonus on Hilton points purchases when you buy 5,000 points or more.  You’ll earn a 100% bonus if you have a Hilton Honors American Express Card.  If not, you’ll earn an 80% bonus.

I recommend doing the math to see if this promotion makes sense for you.  Because purchasing points for an award stay could potentially cost less compared to the cash price of a room night!
