Sign-Up for a Rewards Network Dining Program and Earn Extra Miles & Points for the Purchases You Were Going to Make Anyway

You can sign-up for as many different dining rewards programs as you like.  But each credit card can only be registered to one program at a time.  Although you can have multiple credit cards registered under a single dining program.

You can boost your earnings even more by registering credit cards that earn bonus points for dining, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred.  It earns 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent at restaurants.

And if you have the Chase Freedom card, enroll it too.  Because restaurants are sometimes a 5X quarterly bonus category!  I love double dipping!

When you are searching for participating restaurants, be aware some locations only participate on certain days of the week.  So make sure you are visiting on a day that qualifies you for the bonuses.

Here are the airline and hotel programs you can earn extra miles & points with.

How to Sign-Up

Before you register for an airline or hotel dining program, you will need to enroll in the corresponding loyalty program first.  Because the dining program needs your account number to credit your bonus miles or points into.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to sign-up for the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan dining program.  But the steps are similar for all of the Rewards Network dining programs.

Step 1.   Sign-Up for a Dining Rewards Program

Go to the dining plan website of your choice to begin the enrollment process.  And select “Sign Up” or “Join Now“.

Step 5.   Find a Restaurant or Enroll Another Card

You can search for participating restaurants within a certain distance of your zip code or city.

At the End, You Can Either Register More Cards or Search for Participating Restaurants

If you would like, you can also add more credit or debit cards to the program.

What to Know Before You Dine

In order to qualify for bonus miles or points, you must make the purchase with an enrolled credit or debit card (gift cards won’t count).  And it’s important to verify the restaurant, bar, or club you are visiting is not only a qualifying location but it is also participating on that day.  Some locations do not participate on busier days of the week (i.e. Friday, Saturday, etc.).

Set It Forget It The Easiest Points Youll Ever Earn
Before You Visit a Restaurant, Make Sure Your Purchase Will Earn a Bonus on the Day You’re Visiting

Sometimes qualifying purchases might not show up in your account.  This is often the case with online orders.  When that happens, you will need to submit a receipt or card statement showing the date, location, and amount of the purchase.

If you have any issues, you can contact the specific dining program you are registered with.  Or you can reach out to Rewards Network directly at info@rewardsnetwork.com or by phone at 866-559-3463.

Bottom Line

Dining rewards programs are an excellent way to earn bonus miles & points for your everyday restaurant spending.

It’s simple to register and enroll a credit or debit card.  Then, whenever you make a qualifying purchase at a participating restaurant, bar, or club, you’ll get free miles or points!  And programs often offer bigger bonuses to entice new members to enroll.

You can sign-up for as many programs as you want.  But each card can only be enrolled in one program at a time.  I like to enroll rewards cards that earn bonuses on dining purchases, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Is there something like this for other businesses?
I am looking into a loyalty program for my company and I would like to do something like NRG is doing with United. Where the customer gets X miles when they sign up and then x miles per dollar spent throughout their business relationship. But, I have no idea who runs these programs.
Any help would be great!

Million Mile Secrets

I’m not sure who runs programs like that. But most airlines do have separate programs for businesses to earn more miles for their flights.

Here is the link for United Airlines’ program:

https://unitedperksplus.united.com/

While it is good to get the sign on bonus for each, once you get those then you’ll want to pull back to just one program with all your cards registered there. The reason is that the more you dine with one program you earn elite levels that increases the points per $. If you keep spreading it around you won’t earn as much long term.

Million Mile Secrets

I like that strategy. Thanks for sharing it!

Are all of the dining locations the same or do they differ amongst the programs? Where I live, there aren’t a whole lot of options so I don’t know that it is worth it.

Million Mile Secrets

The restaurants are the same for each program. And you’re right, in some areas the pickin’ are slim. But it’s free to sign-up and you never know when you’ll be traveling and randomly earn some free bonus points!
