Via One Mile at a Time, United Airlines is once again giving folks up to a 100% bonus when you purchase United Airlines miles! This promotion lasts through September 12, 2017.
Here’s what you need to know!

Until 11:59 pm Central Time on September 12, 2017, you can earn up to a 100% bonus when you buy United Airlines miles.
The more miles you buy, the bigger bonus you’ll earn:

Buy 15,000 to 29,000 United Airlines miles – Receive a 50% bonus
Buy 30,000 to 49,000 United Airlines miles – Receive a 75% bonus
Buy 50,000 to 75,000 United Airlines miles – Receive a 100% bonus
Just remember, you can only purchase 150,000 United Airlines miles per year. And the bonus miles you’ll buy through this promotion DO count towards that limit.
Note: When you buy United Airlines miles, you’ll earn an entry into the Points.com “MileagePlus Miles” Sweepstakes, where you could win up to 250,000 United Airlines miles!
Is This a Good Deal?
If you’re planning a trip and need more United Airlines miles for a specific award, this could be a great deal. But it probably doesn’t make sense for less expensive coach flights within the US.
As always, do the math to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
For example, if you and a travel buddy want to fly from San Francisco to Sicily, you could easily spend $3,000 for your flights.
But if you bought 60,000 United Airlines miles for ~$2,260 after taxes, and received a bonus 60,000 United Airlines miles, you would have enough to book 2 round-trip coach award flights to Sicily!
This deal could also be useful for folks who want to book Business Class award flights on United Airlines or their airline partners. Because Business Class award flights are usually very expensive!
Through September 12, 2017, you can earn up to a 100% bonus when you buy United Airlines miles.
This could be a good deal if you’re topping off your account for a certain award flight. Or if you want to book an expensive Business Class seat! But it probably does NOT make sense for most cheap coach flights.
