Here’s a good deal if you want a few more Alaska Airlines miles to top-off your account for an award.  Or if you’d otherwise pay cash for an expensive Business or First Class ticket.

Via Running With Miles, you’ll earn 50 Alaska Airlines miles per $1 for Magazines.com purchases you make through the Alaska Airlines shopping portal.

That works out to 2 cents per mile ($1 spent / 50 miles per $1).  Plus you’ll earn credit card miles, points, or cash back in addition to the 50 Alaska Airlines miles per $1.

Buy Magazines, Earn Alaska Airlines Miles

Link:   Alaska Airlines Magazines.com Promotion

Through June 20, 2017 (tomorrow!), you’ll earn 50 Alaska Airlines miles per $1 you spend at Magazines.com when you shop through the Alaska Airlines shopping portal.

Magazines.com offers magazine subscriptions at a reduced rate for a certain amount of time.  But be careful of auto-renewal, because the rates usually jump up significantly!  So you’ll have to set a calendar reminder to cancel your subscription before your promotional period expires.

Because you can buy as few (or as many!) subscriptions as you like, this is a good deal for folks who only need a few extra Alaska Airlines miles to top-off their account for an award flight.  And you’ll get magazines as well!

Here are the terms of the promotion:

  • Not eligible on automatically renewed subscriptions (so you’ll get the bonus on your initial purchase, but not when the subscription automatically renews)
  • Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site
  • Orders cancelled within 90 days are not eligible
  • Not eligible on gift cards, certificates, or any other similar cash equivalents

So do NOT use any coupon codes on your purchase, because you won’t get your bonus miles!

You’ll get a slightly better deal with the current offer to earn up to a 50% bonus when you purchase Alaska Airlines miles.  But that deal is targeted, and you’ll have to buy at least 50,000 Alaska Airlines miles to trigger the 50% bonus.

Some folks use buy miles promotions to earn miles for award flights in Business or First Class on Alaska Airlines partners, like Cathay Pacific.  It can be an excellent deal if you’d otherwise pay cash for a ticket.

Bottom Line

You’ll earn 50 Alaska Airlines miles per $1 you spend at Magazines.com when you shop through the Alaska Airlines shopping portal.  This deal expires tomorrow, June 20, 2017.

This works out to 2 cents per Alaska Airlines mile.  It’s a good deal if you need a few extra Alaska Airlines miles for an award, because there’s no minimum purchase amount.  And you’ll get magazines on top of it!

Remember, there’s also a targeted offer to buy Alaska Airlines miles at up to a 50% bonus.  But to make the most of that deal, you’ll have to buy at least 50,000 Alaska Airlines miles.
