Great news for folks looking for more IHG points or discounted IHG hotel stays!  With IHG’s Sunshine Sale, you can save up to 30% at certain hotels, save 20% on points & cash bookings, or earn more bonus points for paid nights.

I’m most excited about the ability to get a 20% discount on the cash portion of a Cash & Points booking, because you can use this discount to “buy” points at the cheapest price ever!

IHG Sale Spring 2017
With IHG’s Latest Promotion, You Can Save Up to 30% Off Stays at Hotels Like the Holiday Inn Resort Waikiki Beachcomber in Honolulu, Hawaii!

I’ll explain the details of this offer.  And help you decide whether it’s worth it!

IHG’s Sunshine Sale

IHG’s Sunshine Sale runs through April 28, 2017.  With this deal, you can:

To take advantage of the promotion, you must book by April 28, 2017.  It’s good for stays through May 31, 2017.

With this offer, you’ll find discounts on IHG hotels in spots like San Francisco, Guadalajara, New York City, Honolulu, and more.  You must stay at least 3 nights.

For example, I found nights in Hawaii at the Holiday Inn Resort : Waikiki Beachcomber in May 2017, for ~$145.  That’s 15% off the average nightly rate of ~$171.

You Can Save 15% to 30% Off the Cash Price at Select Hotels With IHG’s Sunshine Sale

That might not seem like a lot, but the savings can add up, especially for longer stays.

And if you have the Citi Prestige card, you could combine this deal with the card’s 4th night free perk to save even more!

Or, you can book at Bonus Points Package and earn 50% more points for your stay.  That could make sense if you already have a paid stay planned during the promotion.

“Buy” IHG Points for Cheap!

My favorite part of this deal is the offer for 20% off Points & Cash stays.  Because you can combine this discount to “buy” points using the IHG Cash & Points Trick for ~0.5 cents each!

This Is a GREAT Way to Save Money “Buying” IHG Points

That’s the cheapest price I’ve ever seen for IHG points.

Plus, if you have the Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card, you get a 10% rebate on redeemed points (up to 100,000 IHG points a year).  This effectively makes the cost of the points you “buy” just ~0.45 cents a piece.  That’s a great deal!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Points & Cash trick, check out this post. 😉

And don’t forget, the latest IHG PointBreaks list went live today, April 24, 2017.  You can book certain IHG hotels for just 5,000 IHG points per night, for stays through July 31, 2017.

If you stack this promotion with the Points & Cash trick to “buy” IHG points, a night at a PointBreaks hotel would only cost ~$25 (5,000 points X 0.5 cents per point)!

Bottom Line

Through April 28, 2017, you can save up to 30% at certain IHG hotels, earn more bonus points, or get 20% off Points & Cash nights, with IHG’s Sunshine Sale.  The offer is good for stays through May 31, 2017.

The best part of this deal is the 20% off Points & Cash bookings.  Because you can combine this discount with the Points & Cash trick to “buy” IHG points for ~0.5 cents each.  That’s the cheapest price I’ve ever seen on purchased IHG points!
