Sometimes it’s hard to find which category a particular Starwood hotel is in.  But it’s important, because depending on the category, day of the week, and time of year, you’ll need from 2,000 to 35,000 Starwood points for a free night.

So I’ve made a list of all the Category 3 Starwood hotels and organized them by region and country.

And the Aloft Dhahran is a category 4. I only clicked on 5 of the hotels in your list and saw two with other that category 3. How did you get this info, and was it checked?

Not sure if you meant to list category 3 and under, but the Sheraton Guayaquil is actually a category 2
