If you prefer online shopping like I do, you likely make lots of purchases at Amazon.
If so, there are many excellent credit cards to use, which earn miles toward travel or cash back.
And some cards have bonus perks, like Citi Price Rewind, which refunds your money when prices go down on certain items you’ve bought!
I’ll share 6 of the best credit cards to use at Amazon!
Best Credit Cards to Use at Amazon
1. Chase Freedom Unlimited

I like the no annual fee Chase Freedom Unlimited card because you earn 1.5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points (1.5% cash back) per $1 you spend on all purchases with NO limit.
These points add up if you do a lot of shopping at Amazon!
And you can combine points and transfer them to airline and hotel partners if you also have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Ink Business Preferred, Ink Plus (no longer available) or Ink Bold (no longer available).
Chase Ultimate Rewards points are my favorite type of flexible rewards. Because you can get Big Travel when you transfer points to partners like Hyatt or Southwest.
Here’s my review of the Chase Freedom Unlimited.
2. Discover it

We’ll have to wait and see if Amazon is included from July to December, like it was last year.
With the 5X bonus categories, you can earn $75 cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases each quarter after you activate the bonus.
And for new cardmembers, Discover will match the cash back you’ve earned at the end of your first 12 billing cycles. So purchases you made in the 5% bonus categories will get you 10% cash back!
3. Citi Double Cash
Link: Citi Double Cash Card
With the no annual fee Citi Double Cash card, you’ll earn 1% cash back on every purchase. And another 1% cash back when you make payments, as long you meet the minimum payment on your monthly statement.
After you reach $25 in rewards, you can redeem your cash back for a mailed check, statement credit, or gift cards.
But one of the best perks about using this card for Amazon purchases is the Citi Price Rewind program.
After you register your purchase, Citi will watch for 60 days to see if price changes. If the price drops, you will be refunded the difference!
4. AMEX Starwood Cards
You’ll earn 1 Starwood point per $1 spent at Amazon with the AMEX Starwood card.
But Starwood points are extremely valuable and hard to earn. And the points are flexible because you can transfer them to many airline partners at a 1:1 ratio.
Plus, you’ll earn 5,000 bonus airline miles for every 20,000 Starwood points you transfer.
That means every $1 spent on the AMEX Starwood cards is worth up to 1.25 airline miles!
There are also many other terrific ways to redeem Starwood points like Nights & Flights packages. Or you can convert Starwood points to Marriott or Ritz-Carlton points for free nights.
5. Chase Amazon Prime
Depending on your Amazon spending habits, you can earn lots of cash back with this card. And you don’t have to worry about rotating bonus categories or activating promotions on your cards.
But getting this card might limit you from getting more valuable Chase travel cards in the future. Because Chase will NOT approve you for most of their credit cards if you have opened 5+ credit cards from ANY bank (except certain business cards) in the past 24 months.
But if you’re not interested in travel rewards cards or already have more than 5 new cards, consider the Chase Amazon Prime card to save money on Amazon purchases.
6. AMEX Premier Rewards Gold
Amazon isn’t included in a bonus category with this card. But you’ll get some of the best extended warranty benefits available.
This is helpful when you’re making a large purchase like an expensive television or fitness equipment.
Because when you pay with the card, you’ll get 1 extra year added to a warranty of 5 years or less on eligible items.
If something goes wrong with your item and it’s covered by the extended warranty, you can get a refund up to the amount charged to your card, with a maximum of $10,000. And no more than $50,000 per calendar year.
Check here for the complete AMEX extended warranty terms & conditions.
For example, you’ll earn 1.5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points (1.5% cash back) on ALL purchases with the no annual fee Chase Freedom Unlimited card. Combine these points with another eligible Chase Ultimate Rewards card and you can transfer points directly to airline and hotel partners like Southwest or Hyatt.
Or use the no annual fee Citi Double Cash card to earn up to 2% cash back at Amazon. And Citi can track your purchases for 60 days to get you a refund if the price drops.
