Thanks to everybody for supporting the blog!  This week, we’re giving away 7,000 Alaska Airlines miles!

Blog Giveaway 7000 Alaska Airlines Miles
Alaska Airlines and Virgin American Have Merged! So You’ll Have More Ways to Use Your Alaska Airlines Miles Through Their New Hub in San Francisco

I’ll show you how to enter!

Alaska Airlines has switched to a distance-based award chart.

The shortest award flights will now cost just 5,000 Alaska Airlines miles one-way, and the longest only 12,500 miles one-way.

Previously, the cheapest award seats cost 7,500 Alaska Airlines miles.

Here’s a comparison of the old and new award charts:

Distance FlownOld Price of Award TicketNew Price of Award Ticket
Less than 700 miles (intra state)7,500 Alaska Airlines miles5,000 Alaska Airlines miles
Less than 700 miles 12,500 Alaska Airlines miles5,000 Alaska Airlines miles
701 to 1,400 miles12,500 Alaska Airlines miles7,500 Alaska Airlines miles
1,401 to 2,100 miles12,500 Alaska Airlines miles10,000 Alaska Airlines miles
More than 2,100 miles12,500 Alaska Airlines miles12,500 Alaska Airlines miles

This is good news because all but the longest award flights now cost fewer miles!

So a flight between San Francisco and Las Vegas, for example, costs 5,000 Alaska Airlines miles one-way instead of 12,500 miles.

If you enter this contest, you could win 7,000.  That’s more than enough for a one-way award flight in coach under 700 miles!

How to Enter

You can complete as many of the tasks as you want.  You’ll get 1 entry for each item you complete.  The more ways you enter, the more chances you have to win!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

You can enter until December 25, 2016, (Sunday) at 9:00 pm Central Time.

Good luck!
