AMEX and Uber will give you 2 free rides from certain US airports when you pay with your connected AMEX card and use promotion code “AMEXAIRPORT” until December 31, 2016.

You’ll get a credit of up to $65 for each ride.  Be sure to enter the promotion code before you request your ride, and use your AMEX card to pay, otherwise you won’t get the credit.

This is a no-brainer deal if you’re flying into one of the participating airports:

  • Boston
  • Chicago (O’Hare and Midway)
  • Houston (George Bush Intercontinental)
  • Las Vegas
  • New York (JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark)
  • Seattle
  • Washington, DC (National and Dulles)

Note:   You’ll only get the credit on rides from the airport.  Rides to the airport aren’t eligible.

If your fare is more than $65, Uber will charge the balance to your American Express card.  If it’s less, you won’t get a credit for the difference.

Uber is having a number of problems with this promo. People say the code is not being accepted. Some reps say the deal is dead. Be careful!
