Bad news for folks who pay rent with RadPad.
Via Reddit, RadPad will NO longer process rent payments, effective tomorrow, October 13, 2016.
RadPad was an easy way to pay your rent using a debit or credit card. Even with fees, it was a good way for folks to meet minimum spending requirements or earn extra miles, points, or cash back.

I’ll explain what’s going on and other alternatives.
RadPad Shuts Down
RadPad is sending emails to users indicating the company will no longer process rent payments. Although the email mentions tomorrow, October 13, 2016, I would NOT risk trying to make a payment today.
That’s because RadPad says folks should find an alternative means to make rent payments effective immediately.
The company has not published an official statement, yet. But several users on Reddit have received the email notification.
This is an unfortunate event. But RadPad appeared to have a few issues over the past couple of months, including an abrupt end to an Android Pay promotion.
As an alternative, you can use Plastiq to make rent payments. But do the math to see if paying fees is worth the miles and points you’ll earn with credit card payments..
Bottom Line
RadPad will no longer process rent payments, effective October 13, 2016. But I would NOT risk trying to squeeze a last payment through, because RadPad says folks should find an alternative rent payment method immediately.
As an alternative, you can use Plastiq. But be sure to check the fees to see if if it makes sense for your situation.
