Via The Points Guy, through July 4, 2016, JetBlue will match (or more!) the number of Virgin America points you have.
Send JetBlue a screenshot of your Virgin America points balance and fly 1 round-trip JetBlue flight by August 31, 2016.
This could be a great deal for folks who fly JetBlue and already have Virgin America points. Or have points they can transfer to Virgin America (like Starwood points) and have specific award flights with Virgin America and JetBlue in mind.
I’ll show you how to register for this promotion. And explain why it might be a good deal for you!
JetBlue Matching Your Points Balance From Virgin America

When you send a screenshot of your Virgin America points balance to email@example.com by July 4, 2016, you’ll qualify for the JetBlue points match promotion.
The screenshot must show your points balance and full name. And you’ll need to include your JetBlue frequent flyer number in the email.
Is This a Good Deal?
If you have Virgin America points and will be flying JetBlue before August 31, 2016, signing-up is a no-brainer.
Because, for example, if you have between 10,001 and 30,000 Virgin America points, you’ll earn 30,000 JetBlue points by qualifying for the promotion.
So with only 10,001 Virgin America points in your account, you’ll earn 30,000 JetBlue points! JetBlue points are worth ~1.4 cents each. So 30,000 JetBlue points can get you ~$420 worth of flights.
If you do NOT have any Virgin America points, you could transfer Starwood points at a 1:1 ratio to Virgin America. And get a 5,000 point bonus for every 20,000 Starwood points you transfer.
But I wouldn’t do this unless you have a particular award trip planned. Or have Starwood points to spare. 😉
And this could be risky, because Starwood points transfer to airlines can take up to 4 weeks. Although in my experience it takes 2 to 12 days. If you decide to transfer, you might not receive your Virgin America points until after the promotion is over.
You could also move Citi ThankYou points to Virgin America, but those transfers can also take up to 2 weeks (though usually much less). And the transfer ratio isn’t great (2 Citi ThankYou points = 1 Virgin America point). So I don’t recommend this.

With the Barclaycard JetBlue Plus and Barclaycard JetBlue Business cards, you’ll earn 30,000 JetBlue points (worth ~$420 in JetBlue flights) after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of opening your account.
You’ll also get perks like bonus points on JetBlue purchases, free first checked bag, and discounts on in-flight purchases.
If you have Virgin America points and will be flying JetBlue before August 31, 2016, you should sign-up for this promotion!
Because JetBlue will match the number of Virgin America points you have in your account.
If you don’t have any Virgin America points, you could consider transferring your Starwood points to Virgin America points. But because the promotion ends July 4, 2016, your points might not transfer in time.
Let me know if you plan to take advantage of this deal!
