Emily and I Had a Great Time in Hawaii! 50,000 Hawaiian Airlines Miles Is Enough for a Round-Trip Coach Award Ticket

Round-trip coach award flights from North America start at 40,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles.

You can also redeem Hawaiian Airlines miles for an award seat on partner airlines like JetBlue or Virgin America.  But you’ll get the best deal when you use Hawaiian Airlines miles for flights on Hawaiian Airlines.

From Hawaii, you can also fly one-way in coach to Australia, New Zealand, or Asia (including China, Japan, and Korea) for 40,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles.

Remember, folks on the West Coast pay fewer miles to Hawaii with British Airways Avios points.

That’s It! Click “Apply Now” and You’re All Set

Then, you should see the offer on the same page.

Should You Apply for This Deal?

This offer is more than the usual sign-up bonus of 35,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles.  And it’s the highest I’ve seen for this card.

That said, most folks can do better with other cards, especially if you’re new to miles and points.  And I recommend folks new to our hobby apply for Chase cards first because of their tighter application rules.

But it could be worth it if you want to visit Hawaii.  Or if you collect Hawaiian Airlines miles.

Fly To Hawaii Earn 50,000 Miles With The Hawaiian Airlines Card
Say Aloha to This Deal If You Want to Visit Hawaii. Or If You Collect Hawaiian Airlines Miles. Otherwise, There Are Better Cards Available (Especially for Beginners to Miles & Points)!

With Barclaycard, it typically takes a few days to receive the sign-up bonus after you complete the minimum spending.  But you may have to wait until after your statement closes.

If you’ve already had this card, Barclaycard usually lets folks get the sign-up bonus on their cards more than once.  However, I would wait at least 6 months before applying again.

Remember, Barclaycard typically only approves folks for 1 or 2 of their cards per year.  So choose your applications wisely!

And if you recently applied for the Barclaycard Hawaiian Airlines card with the lower offer, it never hurts to ask if they will match the current offer!

Bottom Line

The Barclaycard Hawaiian Airlines card currently has an increased sign-up bonus of 50,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles when you complete the minimum spending requirements.

To find the offer, make a test booking for any flight and click through to the final payment screen.  When you select to pay with a credit or debit card, the offer will appear.

50,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles is enough for a round-trip award flight to Hawaii from North America.  So this is a good deal if you want to visit Hawaii.  Or if you collect Hawaiian Airlines miles.

It’s the best offer I’ve seen for this card.  But beginners to miles & points can do better with other cards.

Emily and I don’t earn a commission if you’re approved, but we’ll always let you know when we find a better deal!

Hi Daraius! My wife and I are planning to go to Hawaii this year. Which do you recommend for the flights – getting the “Barclaycard Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard®” or the “Bank of America Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Card”? It’s really a one-time trip and this year. I would think the “Barclaycard Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard®” if the bonus is still 50,000 miles, use the miles for one way, and then use the one-time companion (50% off) on the way back for my wife, and perhaps more miles for my ticket. Thoughts? I am flying from Houston, but can get to LAX on miles via other airlines.

You stated the reward points are good from travel from North America to Hawaii. How about if your trip originates in Hawaii?

That works too!

I just got this card on the airline coming back from Maui. Great deal. Just earned by 50,000 miles, so will be booking a free round trip to Maui in December!! YAY!

Thanks for the useful info. In a push to grab some Hilton points for Sri Lanka I was sooooo close to biting on the 35,000 offer so thanks to you 15,000 more Hawaii miles or 30,000 Hilton points good for one night in Colombo

Friends don’t let friends fly coach

Just bought it through your link, too bad you don’t get a referral.

Thanks for all of the details.

The only change is that it looks like the annual fee is charged right away now.
