You’ll earn the 75,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after you spend $3,000 on purchases with the card within the first 3 months of opening your account.  Again, the offer expires on June 22, 2016.

The AMEX Mercedes-Benz Platinum card has a $475 annual fee that is NOT waived.  But it comes with a $200 yearly airline incidental fee credit on certain airlines.  And access to airport lounges (Delta, Priority Pass, Airspace, and American Express Centurion Lounges).

You’ll also get a $1,000 certificate to use towards a future purchase or lease of a new Mercedes-Benz each year you charge $5,000 in purchases.

When you make your first purchase, you’ll get a $100 certificate to use on Genuine Mercedes-Benz Accessories.  And another $100 certificate each year you renew your card.  So for some folks, that might also make the annual fee more agreeable.

You can NOT earn the sign-up bonus if you’ve already had this card.

Note:   The offer terms say:
This offer is not valid for existing Platinum Card Members from American Express

That said, folks on Reddit say they’ve received the bonus for both the regular American Express Platinum and Mercedes-Benz Platinum in the past.

But technically, the terms say you can’t.  So apply at your own risk if you already have a different version of the American Express Platinum card.

Bottom Line

Until June 22, 2016, the Mercedes-Benz Platinum Card from American Express is offering a sign-up bonus of 75,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after the minimum spending.  The regular offer has been 50,000 points.
