How to Earn IHG Points!

There are many ways to earn IHG points:

You can get IHG points for 0.7 cents per point (or less), if you’re comfortable using the cash and points trick.

You could also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to IHG Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.  But you can get much better value from your Ultimate Rewards points if you transfer to other partners such as United Airlines or Hyatt.

Bottom Line

At only 5,000 IHG points per nightIHG PointBreaks hotels are a bargain!  That’s because you’ll save 5,000 to 45,000 points per night!

You can book these hotels through April 30, 2016.  But I wouldn’t wait that long, because the best deals sell out within minutes!

IHG has a friendly cancellation policy and you can typically cancel without penalty (but check the terms BEFORE you book!).  So if you see a hotel you like, book it!

HIE Bangkok on Sukhumvit is already off the market. Too bad, since I just might go back there in April. Definitely doesn’t pay to dawdle. Unless I get a visa for Vietnam, there’s nothing else on this list that stands out to me. Maybe a few things in Central & S. America, but I won’t be there until after April anyway. Oh well.

I’ve made a map and sortable table – I find that helps me visualize where the hotels are a little better

I actually keep that page up to date as new Point Breaks lists come out
