2 New AMEX Offers For Disney Fans
Next Stop, Disney! 2 AMEX Offers Can Save You Money on Your Trip to Walt Disney World!

Check out my step-by-step guide on signing-up for AMEX Offers, if you’re new to these deals.  And keep in mind, you may be able to get each offer more than once!

Let’s take a look at how these new deals can save you money at Disney parks!

Save $30 When You Spend $150 at UndercoverTourist.com

UndercoverTourist.com is a site that sells discounted theme park tickets to places like Walt Disney World.  And you can earn a $30 statement credit when you spend $150 at UndercoverTourist.com with your AMEX card.

This deal is good through December 31, 2015.

To earn the credit tweet “#AmexUCT” to get a $30 statement credit when you spend at least $150 at Undercover Tourist.

2 New AMEX Offers For Disney Fans
Your Registered American Express Card Could Save You $30 on Tickets to Disney World!

However, UndercoverTourist.com doesn’t always have the best prices.  So be sure to compare before you buy!

Save Money on Disney Gift Cards Too!

You can get 3 $50 Disney Gift cards for ~$143 at Sam’s Club.

2 New AMEX Offers For Disney Fans
You Can Save ~5% on Tickets, Food, Resort Stays, and More When You Buy Disney Gift Cards at Sam’s Club

These gift cards come in denominations of $50, which could be a pain to keep track of if you’re using them to save money on your entire trip.  Thankfully, there’s a trick to combine your Disney gift cards!

If you don’t have a Sam’s Club Membership, you can get $25 off with your new membership with your American Express card.

Not sure which AMEX card to use for your purchase?  AMEX credit cards don’t earn bonus points at Sam’s Club.  So either the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express or Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express is a good choice.  You’ll earn 1 Starwood point per $1 spent and there aren’t many ways to earn Starwood points.

Bottom Line

AMEX Offers has 2 new deals that can save you money on your trip to Disney theme parks.

If you’re new to AMEX Offers, my guide explains how these deals work.

When you use your registered AMEX card to make a purchase of $150 or more at UndercoverTourist.com, you’ll earn a $30 statement credit through December 31, 2015.

Plus, Sam’s Club sells Disney gift cards (good for tickets, food, and hotels stays at Disney parks) at a ~5% discount.  If you haven’t been able to take advantage of this deal because you don’t have a membership, you can save $25 on your new Sam’s Club membership.

In a best case scenario, if I use my Amex Blue Preferred to buy $250 in Target GCs during a 4x promo, I get 1000 points ($35 in gas) and 6% ($15) in Amex cash back. I can use the Target GCs to buy $250 in Disney GCs and use my red card to get an additional 5% ($12.5) off, so my total savings is $35+$15+$12.5 = $62.5 which is 25% off Disney GCs. Take them to your local Disney store and buy park tickets.

Personally I think it’s just too much trouble especially since I need to run two cars low on gas to make use of the $35 off gas, and I have to do this 3-4 times to get enough Disney GCs to buy all my park tickets.

It is unfortunate that Undercover won’t split payments, I asked them over the phone and they said no. But I’d rather take what I can get from Undercover than go to all the trouble of running two vehicles to empty at the same time, 4 times, all during 4x promos.

Alas, the problem (at least in my experience) is you can’t use gift cards for Disney, Universal, etc. on-line…. So sure, you can get your 5 and 10% discounts on the gift cards, but you might do better with advance on-line purchases. (directly via disney)

Second point, about the really lame sales pitch for Sams Club purchase of Disney gift cards….. those folks with Kroger fuel points accounts (America’s largest grocery chain) can do far, far better buying Disney gift cards via Kroger…. and even better still if you have a Kroger I-wireless phone, and then buy the cards with your AMEX blue (another 3% to 6% icing on the cake). In our case, our gift card purchases (including Disney & Universal) via Kroger net us between 22 and 25% discounts/returns. YMMV. (at minimum nearly triple the meager Sams Club 5% return)

I agree, Undercover tourist does have the best prices. And you have to tweet that code, then get a confirmation from AMEX. The deal will then show up in your savings. I used to AMEX cards to get two $30 statement credits. It’s a great deal, thanks for posting it!

Is there a way to split one tranaction in two cards as the single item is costing me $380 but I have offer on two cards?

Actually… Undercovertourist usually DOES have the best ticket prices….. to Disney World that is- wish I had that offer but no show on my account…..
