UPDATE: The Starwood American Express credit card offers in this post are no longer available, but check Hot Deals for the latest offers!

1.   25,000 Points ($250) With AMEX EveryDay Card

The usual sign-up bonus for the AMEX EveryDay card is 10,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points after completing minimum spending requirements.

But some folks on Slickdeals report getting an increased bonus of 25,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points, when they spend $2,000 on purchases within the 1st 3 months of opening an AMEX EveryDay account.

We don’t earn a commission on this offer, but we’ll always tell you about the best deals.

Other perks you get with this card include:

However, this card isn’t a good option for folks who travel outside of the US frequently.  That’s because it charges 2.7% in foreign transaction fees.

You Can Earn Up to 2.2X AMEX Membership Rewards at Grocery Stores With AMEX EveryDay

Check out Slickdeals for details on how to find out if you qualify for this offer.

2.   $250 With AMEX Blue Cash Everyday

Update:   This offer is no longer available.  Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.

US Credit Card Guide reports some folks have also been able to receive $250 in cash back when they spend $1,000 on purchases within the 1st 3 months of opening an AMEX Blue Cash Everyday account.

That’s $125 more than the publicly available offer for the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday.  We don’t earn a commission on this deal either, but we’ll always tell you about the best offers!

With the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card you also get:

  • 3% cash back at US supermarkets up to $6,000 per year, then 1%
  • 2% cash back at US gas stations & select US department stores
  • No annual fee
  • Terms and limitations apply

However, I would NOT use this card outside of the US, because it charges 2.7% in foreign transaction fees.

You’ll Earn 3% Cash Back at Supermarkets With the AMEX Blue Cash EveryDay

See US Credit Card Guide for more details on how to get the increased sign-up bonus.

3.   Save 20% on Virgin Atlantic Award Flights

View From the Wing writes, you can save 20% on Virgin Atlantic coach and Premium Economy award flights to the UK through September 23, 2015.

But keep in mind, Virgin Atlantic has high surcharges!

You Can Fly Round-Trip from New York to London in Coach for Just 28,000 Virgin Atlantic Miles, but You’ll Have to Pay a Hefty $500 Fee!

This deal could save folks who already had plans to book a Virgin Atlantic award flight some money.  But I prefer to use Virgin Atlantic miles in other ways like transferring to Hilton.

There are a LOT of ways to earn Virgin Atlantic miles.

Starwood points, which you can earn with AMEX Starwood personal and small business cards, transfer to Virgin Atlantic at a 1:1 ratio.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points that you earn with cards like Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Ink Plus also transfer to Virgin Atlantic at a 1:1 ratio.

You can also transfer American Express Membership Rewards points you earn with cards like the Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express, and AMEX Platinum card to Virgin Atlantic at a 1:1 ratio.  But there are better ways to get to Europe with your AMEX Membership Rewards points.

4.   Access to More Lounges With AMEX Platinum

The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz, and The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN come with Priority Pass lounge access along with lots of other perks.

And via Points, Miles, & Martinis, Priority Pass has added 22 new lounges to its network including:

    • The Lignum Club in Nassau, Bahamas (NAS)
  • Air France – KLM Lounge – Washington, DC (IAD)
  • Air France Lounge – Houston (IAH)

I am in the same situation as Brennan above. I haven’t even activated the card yet (came last week). What are my best options to get the 25k pt bonus? Don’t activate current card and reapply using the 25k link? HUCA until I find a rep that will match the offer?

I recently signed up for the everyday when the bonus was just 10,000 points a few weeks ago. I have asked several different operators for a bonus match, but per the Amex policy they would not accomodate. I have not yet hit the minimum spend to activate the bonus. Would it be worth it to cancel this card and sign up for the 25,000 card? Would that still be allowable under Amex policies? Please advise. Thank you.

Is there a limit on the number of AmEx cards you can have?

My Blue Cash Amex is on its way. Thanks for the post!
