Today only at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you can buy discounted Hertz rental card points through Daily Getaways.
There will be a new travel deal every weekday at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, through April 24, 2015. But keep in mind, these deals don’t last long!
Let’s take a look at how you can save with today’s deal!
Deal for April 15, 2015 – Save on Hertz Rental Car Points
Link: Daily Getaways Calendar
Today, you can buy Hertz points at a discount to save on your next car rental.
You can choose from:
- 5,500 Hertz points (enough for a 1-week standard vehicle rental) for $252
- 13,200 Hertz points (enough for a 4-day weekend Prestige Collection rental) for $428
- 16,500 Hertz points (enough for a 1-week Prestige Collection rental) for $698
Note: The above are just suggestions. You can use your Hertz points any way you want!
Check out the Hertz Reward chart to see what you can get with your points.
For example, if you buy 5,500 Hertz points for $252, you can get 2 weekly rentals (8 to 14 days) of standard (off-peak) rentals in the US. If you use the full 14 days, that’s ~$18 per day ($252 for the points / 14 days), which could be a good price.
But you’ll have to do the math to see if this is a good deal for your travel dates.
Keep in mind, there are lots other ways to save on rental cars, including sites like Hotwire and Priceline. AutoSlash can also help you get the best deal on rental cars by rebooking you if a lower price comes along.
But folks who rent a car in the 8 airports served by Silvercar can get a better deal! For example, during the same weekend you could rent an Audi A4 for just $59 a day from Silvercar. Now that’s a much better deal!
And sometimes they have special promotions where you can rent for just $52 per day!
I tried Silvercar earlier this year and had a great experience! So I’d rather go this route than pay $428 for Hertz points. But again, do the math to see if this Daily Getaway can save you money!
Beginning at 1:00 pm Eastern Time today, you can buy discounted Hertz points.
There are other ways to save money on car rentals. And personally, I’d skip the Prestige 4-day rental and try Silvercar, if I had plans to be in 1 of their 8 locations. But that’s not the only way you can use the Hertz points, so see if there’s an option that will save you money!
Be sure to check out tomorrow’s deal where you can save on tickets to Busch Gardens and SeaWorld!
