United and ANA

I just used the ExpertFlyer 5-day trial to book 5 reward tickets on Aer Lingus BOS-DUB-SNN-JFK using Avios miles (and AMEX points)–32,500 miles for each ticket since I couldn’t find a suitable return flight back to BOS. (Will be more expensive of a redemption after the end of April 2015!) It took 3 calls and 6 hours to secure the tickets with the British Airways call center in New Delhi. My first attempt was a bust, and the experience convinced me I needed to get better info, and I did my research on ExpertFlyer, so when the seats I wanted “disappeared” I had back-up flights to go for.

Use airline sites and good old MS Excel – would LOVE to try use Expert Flyer.

Currently I use ITA and great circle mapper when booking flights. I’d love to try Expert Flyer.

I mostly use United website, as they are the main provider for the airport I prefer.
