The TravelPony app sells hotel rooms for cheaper than their website, but there are limitations!
Save Money on Hotels Using the TravelPony App

Link: TravelPony App (Android)
I’ve written before about how you can save money onTravelPony, but now you can save more money when you use the TravelPony app (Apple) (Android). Every day at 6:00 am Eastern Time, new discounts are available through the app.
Although you get many hotel choices for each city with the TravelPony website, you only get 1 hotel choice in a city with the app.
Use Sale Promo Codes to Save 5% to 10% More
You can use some of the promo codes from the TravelPony website on the TravelPony app to save an additional 5% to 10%.
But not all the promo codes from the TravelPony website work in the app. So you’ll have to try a few to see which ones work.
$5 Lyft Credit
Most of the hotel reservations on the TravelPony app include a $5 Lyft credit.
Lyft is a ride share program similar to Uber. But instead of black cars, Lyft cars are regular cars with pink mustaches.
The $5 credit isn’t a lot, but it’s the highest credit Lyft offers.
Pay Less When You Use the TravelPony App
You’ll pay less booking through the TravelPony app than on the TravelPony website or through the hotel.
You would pay $114 to stay at the Hyatt House Denver Airport on November 14, 2014. You also get a $5 Lyft ride credit.
Entering the promotion code “WINTER” I was able to save an extra 5%.
If you booked through the TravelPony website, you’d pay ~$119 after applying promo code “TPSAVINGS” which is $11 more than if you booked through the app!
So you’ll pay more on the TravelPony website than using the TravelPony app even with the better promo code of “TPSAVINGS” (which didn’t work on the app)!
And booking on the Hyatt website, you’d pay ~$120 a night.
But you don’t earn Hyatt points for bookings through the TravelPony website or app. For some folks earning Hyatt points is worth paying more for a hotel room. But for others, saving money is the better deal.
You’ll pay ~$52 (using promotion code “WINTER”) to stay at the Ramada San Antonio on November 14, 2014.
You’d pay ~$59 if you booked it through the TravelPony website.
And if you booked the hotel on the Ramada website, you’d pay ~$69.
So you should 1st search the TravelPony app (Apple) (Android) for a hotel deal. Then search the TravelPony website for other hotels in that city. Or if you wanted a particular hotel, the hotel’s website.
And you’ll save an additional 5% to 10% when you apply certain promo codes.
What’s been your experience using the TravelPony app?
