Via One Mile at a Time, if you act quickly you can get First Class award tickets from Los Angeles to London on American Airlines.  And there are other routes with good award space to Europe as well!

It’s rare to find so many available award seats in First Class at once, so if you’re traveling as a couple, family, or group, this could be a great opportunity!

Update:  The First Class seats seem to have disappeared quickly, but coach is still pretty wide open!

Get to London in Style!  There Are Lots of Award Seats Available in American Airlines First Class from Los Angeles, but They Won’t Last Long

Folks who live a short flight from Los Angeles might consider flying there cheaply to get to Europe in First Class.  I’ll remind you how!

American Airlines added a 2nd daily flight from Los Angeles to London.  So now there are many more award seats available than usual.

The calendar below shows you can fly to London in First Class at the SAAver rate (the least expensive rate).

You Can Fly 1-Way to London for 62,500 American Airlines Miles Plus Fees

There are also many award seats open on the way back from London to Los Angeles.

Again, I expect these seats to be taken quickly, so if you’re considering a trip, don’t delay.

Keep in mind, taxes could be significant, especially when departing from London.  So some folks might prefer to return home from a country with lower taxes, such as France.

Flights Leaving London Charge High Taxes, so You Might Want to Book Your Return Flight From Paris or Somewhere Else in Europe

Starwood points transfer to American Airlines but you might not get the points in time to book your seats.  That’s because it can take up to 4 weeks for Starwood points to transfer.

Although in my experience, transfers take can take from 2 to 12 days.  But it may be different for you.

Bottom Line

Finding award seats in First Class from the West Coast to Europe can be challenging.  But American Airlines currently has LOTS of award seats.

This is an especially great opportunity for folks who want to travel as a group.

Don’t wait too long if you’re interested, but these seats will most likely be taken quickly!
