You can get up to 20% off and earn 1,000 points for each stay at Best Western hotels through November 23, 2014.
And if you’re a Best Western elite member, you will earn another 500 bonus points per stay.
However, you may save less than 20% at many Best Western hotels.
Check the bottom of the terms and conditions to see if the country you’re in is participating.
If not, you can can still earn points for stays at hotels in participating countries.
However, if you live in a participating country (such as the US), you can book Best Western hotels worldwide (i.e. in non-participaing countries) and still get credit for this promotion.
How to Register
Step 1 – Become a Best Western Rewards Member
Enroll in the Best Western Rewards loyalty program.
Step 2 – Register
Register for the fall promotion.
If you stay at a Best Western hotel before you register, you will still earn the bonus points as long as you sign-up by November 23, 2014.
Step 3 – Stay
Earn 1,000 bonus points for each completed stay between now and November 23, 2014. And if you have Best Western elite status you will earn another 500 bonus points for each stay.
You could use the Best Western points you earn to stay at the Best Western Beachfront Inn in Brookings, Oregon…
…or the Best Western Sundial in Scottsdale, Arizona.
How to Save up to 20%
To get up to 20% off, search for the “INTERNET” rate when booking your hotel.
Look for “Promotional Rates From” above the advertised rate.
Best Western doesn’t publish a list of hotels that aren’t participating. So you might have to do several searches to find a participating hotel!
Note: If you book the sale rate and have to cancel, you will NOT get a refund.
How Much Can You Really Save?
The promotion states UP TO 20%. So I did a few test searches to see how much you can really save.
1. Firestone, Colorado
You can stay at the Best Western in Firestone for ~$93 per night. This is ~$17 cheaper than the Flexible Rate.
2. New York City, New York
The Best Western in Herald Square costs ~$330 with the “INTERNET” promotion code.
This is only ~$18 less than the Flexible Rate for this hotel. So the discount is only ~5% (~$18 discount / ~ $348 Flexible Rate)!
3. Indianapolis, Indiana
The Best Western Crossroads in Indianapolis costs ~$89 with the discount. This is ~$10 cheaper than the Flexible Rate.
Is This a Good Deal?
You MAY save 20% at some Best Western hotels. But you will save less than 20% in most of the hotels located in popular destinations. And you may only save 5%!
It’s nice to earn a up to 1,500 extra points per stay. But I liked Best Western’s Summer promotion, where you could earn free nights, better!
With the Best Western Fall Promotion, you will earn 1,000 Best Western bonus points for each stay you complete by November 23, 2014. And you will earn another 500 points if you have elite status.
You can also save up to 20% by searching for the “INTERNET” promotional rate. However, I did a quick search and found that many hotels, especially in popular destinations were only 5% to 10% off. While some hotels in non-tourist destinations were 15% off.
I wouldn’t stay at a Best Western hotel just to participate in this promotion. But if you already have plans to stay at a Best Western hotel, it is worth registering.
