Million Mile Secrets reader weluvema emails:

Is the offer for the 100,000 miles, when you sign-up for the Citi American Airlines Executive credit card, still available?

Yes, But There Isn’t a Landing Page

Weluvema will still earn 100,000 American Airlines miles with the Citi American Airlines Executive card.

However, there is no landing page which describes the offer.  But the application page still works.  But I recently applied using the link, and it still works.  Many folks on Flyertalk have also applied for this card and still received the 100,000 American Airlines miles sign-up bonus.

Citi American Airlines Executive Card

Weluvema will get 100,000 American Airlines miles when she spends $10,000 within 3 months on this card.  This is still one of the best deals I’ve seen in a long time!

100,000 American Airlines Miles Is Enough for a Round-Trip Business Class Flight to Europe or 2 Round-Trip Coach Class Tickets to Hawaii!
100,000 American Airlines Miles Is Enough for a Round-Trip Business Class Flight to Europe or 2 Round-Trip Coach Class Tickets to Hawaii!

See my list of 40+ Ways to Meet Minimum Spending if you need some tips on how to spend $10,000 within 3 months.

There is a hefty $450 annual fee which is NOT waived the 1st year.  So this deal might not be for everyone.

But you get a $200 statement credit towards any purchase, which makes the annual fee is effectively $250.  And you also get access to American Airlines airport lounges with this card (~$500 value).

What If You Aren’t Comfortable Applying Without a Landing Page?

Unfortunately, this is the only way to get the 100,000 American Airline miles sign-up bonus at this time.

But weluvema can apply through this link which will give you 75,000 American Airline miles when you spend $7,500 within 3 months and she will see a landing page with the full details.  But there’s only a $100 statement credit on this version of the card, so I wouldn’t apply for it.

You Could Even Get The Bonus Again!

Many folks on Flyertalk have also been able to sign-up for the Citi American Airlines Executive card more than once and still get the 100,000 American Airlines miles.  This is useful when you want different cards to put different expenses on.

So weluvema could get this offer a 2nd time, but she should be sure to follow Citibank’s rules:

  • Leave at least 8 days between your 1st and 2nd application
  • Don’t apply for more than 2 personal cards within a 65 period

Bottom Line

You can still get 100,000 American Airlines miles when you spend $10,000 within 3 months on the Citi American Airlines Executive card.  While there isn’t a landing page to confirm this deal, I’ve still been able to get the bonus and so have many folks on Flyertalk.

This is a fantastic deal!  But make sure you can meet the high minimum spending requirements (I have tips to help you!) and high annual fee before you apply!

Thanks for your question welovema!

Since when is 100,000 miles enough for a business round-trip to Europe? Good luck in finding that rate. I tried 6 months in advance and the best I could get was 150,000 one way to Paris.

What am I doing wrong? I have been a miles freak since TWA whenever the awards started.

the link gives an error on their website. as of 7/15/2014.

@Nina – You can get in the lounge by just showing your Citi Exec card!

Hi, I have a question: If I’m flying USAirways (have the Barclays card) and have my one day club pass… if I also have the AAdvantage Citi Exec card. does that even matter? It looks like my Citi Exec would get me in to any of the AA or USAirways lounges, is that correct? I just need to bring it and show it?

@Adam. Yes, that’s the same link. Doesn’t say 100k anywhere on it that I saw. But my wife applied and got the “call for decision” message. When she did, she asked the agent if this had the $10k for 100k miles offer on it and the agent confirmed that it did.

Does the application link (in Hot Deals) for the Citi World Elite Mastercard connect to the 100K offer? The link is here for your confirmation: https://millionmilesecrets.com/hot-deals/.

If not, please advise what application links to the 100K offer.

Thanks
