Should I Attend?

If you are new to miles & points, Frequent Traveler University is a great way to learn the ropes and make new friends!

Folks who have be collecting miles and points for more than a few years, shouldn’t attend in the hopes of learning lots of new information.  But rather to meet others who don’t roll their eyes at you!  And you never know, you may learn a trick or two!

Emily and I will be there, and we look forward to meeting you!

The bumped up the price of the hotel room! Can they do that? I thought I had the rate locked in at $99.

Now the base rate is $105.

The total increased from $111.28 to $118.02 after taxes.

If you read MMS or any other travel blog, you will not learn a tremendous amount. The value of going to FTUs (I've been to 3) are the stories/tips/tricks you learn and share with other members of the travel hacking community. I've made some great friends from going to these events (you can never have too many friends who actually enjoy listening to you talk about travel hacking...)

What can a person expect from this weekend - specifically the educational sessions? I'm a reasonably experienced traveler and follower of travel deals/miles/websites (yours most notably!). But I suspect I could learn a fair amount?
